i feel complete and utter hatred towards jim carey. i think he is the WORST actor ever. eternal sunshine of a spotless mind and truman show....supposed to be serious and show the actual actor in him....YA RIGHT. brutal, boring, made me want to smash things. i want him dead. when i see a movie trailer with him in it, i instantly think of ways to kill him.
also...worst movie EVER EVER EVER was freddie vs jason. that was nearly 2 hours of my life i'll never get back and don't think i'll ever forgive the person who made me go under false pretenses.
Yeah, he was a pretty one-hit wonder goalie.
Jim Carrey on the otherhand, is one of my most respected actors. Amazing range others can't touch. I utterly hate his early movies like Jim Ventura Pet Detective and Dumber and Dumber though

agreed. perhaps his earlier movies is what has tainted him for life in my books. but i disagree that he has a range that most actors can't touch. if we're gonna go down that road, i'd say that robin williams would be that actor that has range most actors cant touch.
And pretty much anything with Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, and Julia Roberts. I pretty much want to rip my eyeballs out and set my brain on fire the instant they appear on screen....

What did you expect from a movie called Freddie vs Jason? A cameo by Pinhead from hellraiser?

Are you kidding me. Robin Williams can suck my left nut with his awful "humor". Jim Carrey > Robin Williams any day of the week.
Also, Freddy vs Jason was good, because it was stupid nonsense killing, with a stupid story line. That is what it is supposed to be.
As for worst casting, I agree with the post about the "villain" from the new Bond movie, QoS. I have seen flies more intimidating than him. Not to mention his face looks like a dirty wash cloth.
Julianne Moore in Hannibal is another that comes to mind.
Disagree. I thought she did fine. Was she Jodie Foster?? Of course not, but I thought she held her own in a lose lose situation for her. She would have been criticized no matter what. The movie itself lacked something to be desired, but I thought she was fine IMO.
I have to agree with those stating Maggie Gyllenhal in Dark Knight. I was loving the movie up until that hideous creature showed its mug on the screen. Then to hear The Joker tell her she's "beautiful" two or three times during the ballroom scene...just turned that movie from great to unwatchable a second time.
I love Tom Hanks but I didn't think he was the right choice for Langdon in The Da Vinci Code...I also didn't like Audrey Tautou - she was plain terrible in that movie. Not sure who would have been a better Langdon but I would have preferred a lesser name who would blend more into the character.
Dark Knight "unwatchable" because of Maggie Gyllenhall?? Really?? I'm not sure how she could of ruined the movie?? She was kind of a meh character for me. Yes, she was the female lead, but she was such a supporting part of the movie, it really didn't bother me at all. I thought she was a lot better than Katie. Watch Batman Begins again, Katie was just dreadful.

Yeah, good call, both of the roles in Da Vinci code were ridiculously mis cast. Hanks just didn't seem right for the role.
