Come on now. This guy isn't Don Corleone.

He got shot and he's in the hospital and, despite what he's done, the hospital has a duty to keep him alive and the cops have a duty to protect him (at least while he's in there).

Remember this the next time you ask the rest of us why we live in the suburbs.

Pfft as soon as he can walk, the cops should drive him back to his house, and drop him off with sirens blaring, and just as he reaches the door the Cops should yell out "Thanks for all of that information, you really helped us out buddy" Then they should release a press statement with this guys name and address and date of release and comment on how brave and help full he was.

I say keep him under guard just for the protection of everyone else... couldn't care less about him.
Or just do a euthanasia thing on him in the hospital. Quicker and more cost effective.

Maybe if you'd let your mom in the house, she wouldn't have to pass out in front of your car!

I personally think it would be great if they were to publish the names and addresses of gang members and gang associates. That way people would know where to find them without shooting at the wrong houses. If this gang member does not want to cooperate with the authorities they should treat him and release him and let his buddies get ahold of him thats one less piece of trash that we do not have to worry about. Obviously he is not an innocent victim by any means so its probably better if he just ends up dead with the rest of his friends.

Or better yet to make sure the job gets done have a few cops go undercover and just start eliminating these dufii. Pop some from one group and then the other. Get the job done right!!!!!!!!!!!

Sort of off topic, but does anyone remember watching the news around '02/'03ish when these gang hits started happening? I used to laugh at how in denial the police spokesmen used to sound after each one eh? Every time there was another shooting, I used to be glued to global at 11pm to hear them speak.

It wasn't even like now, where they kind of say "it may be gang-related, but we can't confirm at this point", it was just flat out "NO, this IS NOT gang related, I repeat, this is NOT gang related". ....Then 2 months later "oh yeah, that murder a couple months back, did in fact turn out to be gang related, BUT Calgary DOES NOT have a gang problem, nor will it EVER, so STOP talking about gang problems you paranoid, conspiracy believing, fear mongering citizens."
