What year are you? what faculty? are you on probation?
You should've gotten an appointment date between June 6-10 depending on your year where you can register in a 2-4 hour timeslot. Also you will have to pay $100 before registering.
Open registration (free for all except probations) is June 11 @ 7AM(Saturday)

My first year was in 1990 and we had this horrible phone registration system with this white pages thick book. At least you guys have it online now.
I still remember that as a joke we found out our friends PIN number and dropped him out of his 2 chemistry classes and put him into Russian 205 and Japanese 205. When he finally found out we did that both the chem classes were full! hehe. He didn't talk to us for months.

What a pain. Year after year.
They just went and changed the semester for a required 500-level seminar. Way to mess up my carefully planned schedule. I would have thought the department might fire off an email to its students, considering the importance of the course.
The key to avoiding the waiting list: sign on to InfoNet well in advance of your registration appointment time. You're still able to log on... the only thing your prevented from doing is registering. Now, if you've got the time to sit around and fiddle with Infonet, to avoid the session timing-out... you're already in by the time it's time to register Works like a charm
I unfortunately, did a dumb thing and let my session time out while I was registering. I was put on the waiting list, and had about an hour wait. Being overseas, it was 1am, I didn't want to stay up longer, and I was worried the course might fill up. I ended up getting my sister on MSN and talking her through the steps for the phone registration system. Got it done before I would have been allowed back on InfoNet, and got a good night's sleep to boot.
Ahhhh... that was some much-needed venting. But ooops, I promised myself I wouldn't complain. After experiencing the school system over here, I've decided I much prefer how it's done back home! (Hard to believe... but it's true) lol

I'm going into my 5th, I registered on Monday- I too had to wait for an appointment time, but oh well. I like how they changed registration this year, being that the closer you are to graduating the earlier you get to register. Getting into all the classes I want/need is excellent.

Wow, some joke. Way to screw with your friends educational plans. If someone did that to me I'd probably fill their car with quick dry concrete.

I see, the ideal thing for you to do would have been hitting refresh like crazy on infonet starting at 14:55, now you are too late. You should be able to logon anytime after the time they gave you on the waiting list. Yes it sucks but that's already a lot better than the old days when we didn't even have appointment times specified on infonet, you had to squint thru a PDF to find your student ID grouping to figure it out...ugh.
Well I'm 4th year so I had June 6 @ 7-11AM, Monday morning at 6:50 I was hitting F5 like a madman and got into all my courses without difficulty...just to rub it in

haha. it was pretty funny back then. I was only 17 hehehe. Besides i think he made up for it in the spring classes.
I can still laugh at that now because he's making over $250,000us down in Hartford. He can thank us for that because instead of going into science he went into Actuarial Science instead which got him this kick ass job.

I think concrete would be more of a pain in the ass (and less dangerous) than fire, myself.
Sure, you have to call the Fire Department to put out the car but have you ever tried to jackhammer hardened concrete out of the inside of an automobile to release the emergency brake so it can be towed away?

Well, I am a fan of a good practical joke, but what you guys did to him was just plain mean!!! Its good that things turned out fine, but if it didn't, I don't know how I could've lived with that guilt for the rest of my life
But I guess its what they say, Alls well that ends well
