Really? I thought it was one of those "caught in the crossfire" type of beheadings.

Generally, you have to have a serious hate on for a person to cut their cut head off. Most of the time the only thing that can build hatred from a small burn to something that big is familiarity(the Greyhound bus incident was an exception to the rule).

Wow, that is horrible. I wonder what the motivation for this will come out as in the end. I also wonder if it will affect their attitude towards accepting students from East Asian countries.

Terrible thing.

Apparently, those in charge don't think it will have much of an impact at all on foreign student recruitment, although it doesn't specifically mention East Asian origin, I think given the situation that could be taken to be implied.

I think Dean DePauw is dreaming that this won't affect their recruitment. They'll still get foreign students, but their top choices will be looking elsewhere.

When you think Virginia Tech, what's the first thing that pops into your mind? It sure as hell isn't academics.
