Default Great Sandwiches

Just made myself a great tasting sandwich.
Grilled Chicken with roman tomatoes and Romaine lettuce marinated( for like 2 min) in a homemade vinaigrette.

So good!

Just wondering if anyone else has some good sandwich recipes.

That's called a Bacon Cheese Dream my friend, so good! Though I can only have it once every few months so my heart doesn't explode.

A panini with prosciutto, basil and buffalo mozzarella with a little olive oil, and S + P to season! Mmmmm...

My favorite two sandwiches:
Slice up and fry up a spicy sausage, a portabello mushroom, and a pear. Put between two thick slices of bread.

Leftover pulled pork, slightly drained, with mozzarella cheese and some thinly sliced carrot and cucumber, toasted and served on a dutch sandwich roll. Sort of a western version of a vietnamese sub.

If you want to add to the heart attack risk, lightly coat the side that the bacon is on with smooth peanut butter - there's something about the bacon grease & the PB that is inalienably good (no matter how gross it sounds). Do not have more than once a year on pain of arteries frosting over.

PS - this tactic is also good on a bacon burger.....

Best sandwich IMHO is a simple one: ripe tomatoes, salt & pepper to taste on a nice multigrain bread, mayo on one side & mustard on the other.....deeeelish!

At work I have been putting Roullie on everything I make, and it is awesome on sandwiches. It is an orange paste used as a garnish on a Bouillabaisse dish, and it is pretty much a roast red pepper paste with a whole crap load of garlic.

Chicken, good old cheddar, roast red peppers, rouille.

Melted Brie and rouille is great open faced.

Hell just plain rouille on bread. I need to write down that recipe so I can make some at home. Such a great condiment.

I love a good reuban, and least I love it how I make it.

Rye bread
Corned beef or pastrami
Sauerkraut
Cheddar cheese

Fry it on a frying pan until the cheese is melted, and enjoy. I sometimes put green olives on the inside, or eat on the side.
