Fringe
Anyone else watching this series? New episodes on again tonight after a couple months off. I wouldn't have watched the first episode except that it was on after House, and even after seeing the pilot, I was pretty 'meh' about it, but after a couple weeks it really started to grow on me, and now both my wife and I would list it as our favorite show on TV.
(For anyone not familiar with it, it follows an FBI investigatory team with a pretty (but somewhat cold) blond, a scientist who's spent the last 15 years in a mental institution, and his son and legal guardian, all of whom are are investigating a series of terrorist-like attacks that are rooted in fringe science. It currently seems that these attacks are actually proofs-of-concept for scientific information that's being sold on some sort of black market.)
I've been a fan of John Noble's ever since his Lord of the Rings role, and his character here is the best part of the show; unlike so many supervillain portrayals of mad scientists, Walter Bishop is a character who's psychosis seems quite plausible and real (unlike so much of the show), rather than being a caricature of madness. The best scenes aren't the shocking or gross-out attack sequences, but the conversations between Walter and his son or between Walter and Olivia.
Anyway, I realize it's critically received fairly mixed reviews, and I imagine there are a lot of people out there who hate it. But I just wanted to see if there are any other fans of the show on CP.

I watched an episode or two and enjoyed it but with nothing but reruns for the last while I've been kind of frustrated and turned off.
And I totally agree about John Noble. Great performance on Fringe.

I have watched it and have liked it.
It has one of the elusive positions on MYKs PVR Series recordings.

It's on my PVR and I look forward to it's return tonite.
***SPOILER FROM PREVIOUS EPISODES***
Strangest part for me to grasp had to be in the episode where he drugged the female FBI agent that works in the lab with him. I mean he stuck a friggin needle in her neck and took off and the next day she's back at work feeding his cow. Definitely not ideal working conditions.

Tuesday nights (Tonight!) at 10:00 on CTV, or one of the American Fox feeds. Looks like it's new slot will be right after American Idol, which is a bit of a weird combination, given the young audience of AI and the frequently creepy or grotesque opening sequences that Fringe often has.
Lchoy, thanks for the link to the online episodes; I'm going to go through and watch for some things that I might have missed. I'm almost certain that I've seen the observer in the background of a few other episodes.
Rhettzky; agreed on that scene with Walter. The show hints that he had fairly dubious ethics when he was working as a scientist, and now that even though he's trying to do the right thing, he's got a real 'ends justify the means' sort of ethics.

We're loving this show. It's totally absurd, but every week someone's face melts, or head explodes.
John Noble is great as the mad doctor.

Question for you in white in case others haven't watched yet:
When the first guy had his mouth sewn up, did you notice that bald guy with the hat that was in the earliest episodes of the show? Was it just me?
What a freaking awesome episode though.

I missed him this time around, but I've seen him in background shots of other pattern events, so you're probably right.

answer in white:
I did see him, I think he is in a lot more than the first show, if you watch carefully I've seen him pop up for a lot of the strange happenings (I would guess they have him in every episode if you are watching).
