Now Cheney is free to pursue an acting role. I hear that Chris Nolan is looking to cast him as the Penguin in the next batman movie.

threats were intercepted about todays events....

Quote:
Authorities monitored a rush of intelligence leads Tuesday at the largest security operation in presidential inauguration history, including a possible threat from an East Africa radical Islamic terrorist group.

Law enforcement and intelligence officials received information that people associated with a Somalia-based group, al-Shabaab, might try to travel to the U.S. with plans to disrupt the inauguration, according to a joint FBI/Homeland Security bulletin issued Monday night. The information had limited specificity and uncertain credibility, said Homeland Security spokesman Russ Knocke.

He'd be better than Danny DeVito.

To be expected I'm sure. Any large government event from now on will probably get a threat from somewhere until something dramatic happens to the world paradigm.

To quote Chris Matthews, I got a thrill up my leg when Obama gave that speech.

I don't really care much about the inauguration at all.

I'm just impressed that they specially invited the crew from the plane that crashed into the Hudson River.

That is all.

Hahaha... okay.

Chris Hitchens wrote a great article awhile back about the "conservative" nature of the Democrat Party. Nationalism, protectionism, socialism and isolationism are their calling cards. Old, bad ideas.

For all their faults, the Republicans have always shown initiative towards internationalism and entrepreneurship.

Obama could be the worst type of "conservative."

BTW, Rick Warren is a complete huckster.

So... how many children and pets are going to be named Barack this year?

Like every time I hear someone calling their dog Kipper, I know that the dog is about 4 years old.

Man, nobody puts on a show like the Yanks.

Well, maybe the Royal Family.

And I guess the Vatican can really put it together occasionally, but still, this inauguration is quite a spectacle.

On the menu for the Congressional lunch -- seafood stew, duck and grouse, apple cinnamon sponge cake.

Now they are talking about one of the paintings on the wall.

5000 eh?
And they expected 2 million people to show up.
1 for every 400 people - not a bad ratio.

I missed it all for a law class that I ended up sleep through anyway. I'm looking forward to catching the speech this afternoon.
