Disappointing. Not the video, but the guy.

He quit? really that's a shame.
I herd that he had a very serious mental break down after doing Walk the Line. Apparently he was deeply in love with Reese Witherspoon.

I didn't realize that becoming a rapper meant you had to take up a diet of bacon fat and Doritos.

Bwahahhhahaha I heard about this a few days ago, but now after seeing it, I can't believe it.
This may be the woooooorst thing I have ever seen. What entourage of Yes men does this guy hang around with that allowed him to quit a successful acting career to become the next k-fed.
Actually I take that back, K-fed is much better than this guy. He looks like a the love child of John Goodman and K-fed. Its like John Goodman ate K-fed and somehow absorbed his lame raps.... OMG this is awful

That falling off stage vid is absolutely classic. It ended up just the way it looked like it should.

How can you tell that it's actually Joaquin Phoenix? It looks like a cell phone video of some clown "rapping" for a lark.
Even if it is actually him, I gotta think this is a joke. He is an actor, after all.

I dunno, but I have this feeling this is all some part of elaborate marketing scheme for an upcoming movie or something.
That or the guy's going through some pretty bad emotional problems, because I just can't believe the guy would throw away all he has worked so hard for to pursue something that he clearly doesn't have any talent for.

This week, check out the latest Hollywood nightmare, Joaquin Phoenix, rapping at Lavo nightclub in Las Vegas this past Saturday, after having announced at both a Paul Newman charity and at the premiere of his film Two Lovers, that he is quitting acting.
|
I am not saying it is good, I don't know the man or anything about him. I know I enjoyed him in Gladiator, my favorite movie. All the best to him.. I don't wish him any harm. I just thought it was interesting.

On the related videos tab there are a couple where he himself confirms he will quit acting. That being said apparently he's the subject of a documentary about becoming a rapper, so maybe it's just some elaborate mockumentary type of thing.
So basically he's either crazy, or this is all just a set up for a movie he is making.
