If it makes Buzzard'sWife happy - which will in turn make you happy (if you know what I mean) - go ahead and keep getting it done. I think her opinion matters more than ours do...you're sleeping with her and not us - I'm assuming that much though.

If you keep making him wax his hair off he'll look like alberta beef before it's slaughtered!

Of that list, I think most men only care about the first one. Ladies, you don't need to spend a fortune on the rest of it, because we really don't notice. I think women do these things because of peer pressure from other women, not because men are demanding it?

I forget the name of the comedian who said something like this:

"Ladies, do you want to know how much we care about your eyebrows? Do you have two? Good".

I completely agree (can't write Q F T for some reason). Most men do not notice those other ones... well besides the cost of them.

I wax.
It makes the fiance happy and she does other things to make me happy so I have no problem doing it.
Plus it hurts less the more you go as you eventually get used to it

K..your opinion..BUT!! would you wanna go to bed with a chick that has bushy eyebrows, skanky toenails, chewed up fingernails, big zits and 2 inches of regrowth? (roots) It takes alot of work to be a well groomed woman, compared to guys that shave and clip their toenails and they look good!

I'm convinced women dress/style to impress other women, not men.
Exhibit A: Uggs

The Beauty Myth:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beauty_Myth

Wolf argues that women in Western culture are damaged by the pressure to conform to an idealized concept of female beauty—the Iron Maiden throughout modern society, from Victorian Times to today. She argues that the beauty myth is political, a way of maintaining the patriarchal system. It allows women to enter the labour force, but under controlled conditions. She also claims that this system keeps women under control by the weight of their own insecurities.

You are all naturally beautiful, and don't need to spend a fortune on cosmetics and treatments.

I had one girlfriend that spent an hour a day on her nails. Why?

I support reciprocal body grooming. I come from the school of thought that whatever you'd like your mate to do, you should be prepared to answer the call should he/she ask the same.

unless the woman has some sort of horrible mono-brow (think Salma Hayek in the movie where she portrays Frida Kahlo). There's a cashier at our Superstore who desperately needs someone to take her aside and let her know she needs to shear off the horrible thing she's got going on.

I love you for saying "regrowth!" That's the industry term for roots, so to see someone else use that makes me so happy

And there is a difference between keeping well groomed (haircolor every 4 weeks, brows ever 4-6 weeks, pedi every 4 weeks, mani every 2 weeks) with small things which take up an hour or so once or twice a month, and the girl who spends an hour on her nails every day. I don't even spend an hour getting ready, start to finish, in a day. What the hell is she doing?

I can't stand overly high-maintenence girls, don't get me wrong. If you're just heading to the grocery store to pick up a few things, you don't need perfectly styled hair, stilettos, skinny jeans, and full jewelry and makeup. But at the same time, you don't want to look like crap when you go outside either.

The ladies do this stuff to compete with eachother........for men ultimately.

Hey Troutman, If she did her nails an hour a day the only word that comes to mind is compulsive! Or VERY vain! I don't know is she was vain though. I'm just assuming. I get my nails done every 2 weeks, and don't touch them in between cept maybe for a clear coat touch up. UNLESS she was changing her color every day, which I still wouldn't understand.
