The Flyers and Wild took all of about 10 seconds to negotiate a trade early this afternoon.

Heading to the city where brothers love each other is WJC hero Jordan Eberle. Coming back to Minny is Colton Teubert.

GM Farhall:
"Pretty simple deal. We look at Colton as being a safer pick...we like Jordan a lot but his size is a concern as is the fact that his NHL counterpart team is the Oilers - and they have a habit of ruining guys".

Lol like the analysis, Colton definitely is the safer bet, but he'll be competing for minutes with some talented young players (hickey, doughty, JJ) in LA. The value of Eberle is as high as it likely ever will be, and I'm all for trading guys away when their value is the highest so I'd say this is a solid move, trading an Oiler away is always a good move!

By the way Grant, my internet is cutting out so that is why I disappeared off of msn, hopefully I get a consistent connection later.

Eberle played great during the WJHC and we really liked his game.

Hopefully the coilers don't screw up.

This is an interesting trade. Honestly, during the entire WJ tournament, I found that Hickey and Teubert were the worse two players on Team Canada. DellaRovere took some dumb penalties but did what he was asked to do which was bring energy.
For some reason that defensive tandem looked good in only one game (the Czech's) and were on the ice for goals by weak opponents and then had trouble handling the top lines of the US, Russians and Swedes.
Eberle actually got my scorn during the Russia vs Canada game because he couldn't shoot worth a lick during the first few power plays, and *cough* he then provided Canada with key goal scoring as the game went on.
