Sunday would be *a lot* better. Saturday is out for me, for obvious reasons.

You could try a demo game and see if you like it. We have 8 GMs now, but 10 would be even better. It would require one to two evenings per month.

Sounds good, I was trying to get on those links you posted earlier but no dice as work has blocked it

MTL opened the season with a 4-2 victory over NJ. The teams traded scoring chances, but Price out-played Brodeur. The Habs turtled when challenged by Clarkson.

Hey, they didn't turtle...they were...umm...thirsty and had to get to the bench for Gatorade.

Our new assistant coach is Rick Tocchet and I am open to trade offers for Jose Theodore, Pavel Bure and the NBA ref

Preview of the new cards for next season:

http://www.strat-o-matic.com/sphere/0809hpre.htm

This might be interesting to other CPers in general. Look at CGY's blue-line:

Off/Def rating (4 is highest on offence, 5 is highest on defence and rare)

Bouwmeester 4, 4

Regehr 2, 5

Phaneuf 4, 2

Sarich 1, 3

Giordano 3, 2

Pardy 1, 2

Others:

Dawes 3, 2

Sjostrom 2, 2

Too bad Sarich got only a 3 on Defense. Phaneuf got what he deserved.

I thought Sjostrom was supposed to have developed into a defensive savant?

Good luck figuring out how Strato picks the defense numbers.
