Skunk bath!

The sad thing is, it was probably political suicide.

Gutsy!

But very true in some respects... it is the States that get the job done in the end. I also respect how he took a Republican as his running mate.

Good stuff, i like a politician that talks like a human. Didn't see if he was republican or democrat. I'm sure he'll do well in Montana, those statements probably gained support there.
He's a Demo, which seemed a bit odd to me for Montana.

I saw the last couple minutes of the interview, and it wasn't too bad. Dobbs is certainly going downhill though. It seems like all he talks about on his show is US jobs going offshore.

To be fair, compared to Calgary, D.C. _does_ stink.

Though, we might just have a nice-smelling city. Or I'm acclimatized to our particular odour. Either way... the US capitol smells bad.

Pretty sure he was being metaphoric and not just commenting on the aroma of Washington.

As a two time vacationer to the state, I love Montana. It's like Alberta, (with a healthy hate for the east and all politicians) but with even fewer laws and government. Good folks, good scenery, and Helena is one of my favorite cities.

Like hell that's political suicide. That's what gets you re-elected. And I don't know where he stands politically. But that's the kind of quote that allows you to enjoy that one particular stench for a little while longer. Campaign writers everywhere are glad that their script made it this far.

He along with Republican opponent Bob Brown waged the dirtiest campaign I have ever seen last Fall when they were running for Governor. Mudslinging at it worst, they were even attacking each others families.

Schweitzer could easily run as a Republican, I don't think the particular affiliation meant much to him. Maybe it was just easier to get the nomination as a Democrat LOL ?

Schweitzer had one word for Montana Tech graduates during his commencement address a couple of weeks ago in Butte. It will have a tremendous influence on them, he said.

China.

"You will have China to have an eye on in the rest of your lives," going on to say they are the biggest users of natural resources. And they have just begun.

It was an amusing speech, jumping around from China to the US armed forces to his wife to Teddy Roosevelt. It was directed at the many Engineering students that were graduating that day, which is where Schweitzers interests ovliously take root. He basically directed nothing to the large section of nursing students recieving their degrees that day. Amusing.

At any rate the catch word around this house these days is China

Yep, just a dry sense of humour over here.
