				 Stupid Question: iTouch/Apps

Couldn't find it on the board...
I just bought an iTouch of a buddy of mine. Decided to grab a game or two off iTunes. I downloaded "Price Is Right" on to my computer, which wouldn't download, unless my iTouch was connected.

It's not on my iTouch right now, for some reason, and the file is on my computer.

How do I get it on to the iTouch?

plug in your touch and go to the applications tab in iTunes. Make sure that the game is set to sync there and resync.

Are you talking about a tab that was around all the other tabs (music, videos, etc) when I click on my iPod, cause I looked there, and there's no applications tab.
There is in the whole "my library" area, but not on the iTouch itself...

can you connect the touch and then drag the application from your computer onto it? You may have to authorize the touch on your computer first.

Yeah, drag and drop didn't work. I'll try to authorize later tonight.

I love getting new toys, but they're getting harder and harder to figure out. Maybe I'm just getting older and older.

Is it possible that I may have downloaded an iPhone application for my iTouch? Everything I'm searching comes up with this 'jailbreak' idea. Not sure I want to play around with that just yet.
 Is there a difference?

You need to update your touch. Plug it in and click Check for updates. You need to be running Ver 2.0 at least to install apps.

It's always the simplest solution isn't it? Good catch.

I would pay for that. The number of free apps is incredible enough that it'll pay for itself in a couple days.

When I had my Touch, I did 'other' because I couldn't wait and I found a pre-release of 2.0. I had no problems but it may be worth it just to pay for it.

Yeah, my patience for the little things is a little thin right now. $10 isn't that big a deal...

I did not have to pay for that, but I got the newer Itouch version.
