What's this? A burger joint in Calgary I haven't tried. Pray tell where exactly is this place?

Also - just remembered that for those that can remember the old chain of "Bob's Hamburgers" - there is still one left in Calgary - it is over by the Glenmore Inn. And they do a pretty good burger.

Inglewood Drive-inn is another gooder.

Burger Burger in Esso Plaza was excellent but sadly they are no longer there.

What?!? Awww, crap!

What replaced them?

Did they happen to move elsewhere downtown?

They were a foodcourt favorite of mine when I was downtown. I wouldnt put them in the top burgers of all Calgary, but definately some of the best fast lunch you could get downtown.

I like White Spot burgers cuz I grew up on Vancouver Island and during the 70's they were THE place to go there.

Really?! How big is this thing? How much does it cost?

Indeed there is. I grabbed a burger at the one on 32nd last night.

Since they renovated (I'm not sure if there were new owners in there too) I don't think they are as good. Still better than many places, but nothing super special.

Nope they just closed up. I actually made a special trip down to Esso Plaza for the specific purpose of having me some "Burger Burger". The horror when I walked into the food court and saw it was gone.

Oh the horror.

Too bad you're not an NHL GM. Then maybe the Senators could rid themselves of Martin Gerber.

The BEST burgers ever, And the best fries - real big fat ones! Crispy on the outside - fluffy on the inside. Really good shakes as well.

Sorry, I know it's not Calgary, but I gotta share. The best burger I've ever had was the triple stacked burger at T.G.I.Friday in the Dallas airport. Oh my gosh....after 2 weeks of Mexican food, this was pure Heaven on Earth. It had 3 or 4 different kinds of cheese, with a slice of ham and bacon, and a huge home made style paddy. It had some little flag in the bun saying voted best burger by good housekeeping or some magazine or something....cant remember who. Straight to the arteries American goodness!
