Why should "I" get the ticket? It's simple really, I used to work at the Saddledome way back. It was around 1984-1985. The first job I had was cleaning out the mens room during the games. 
I had to make sure there was toilet paper in the stalls and generally keep the place tidy.
After a month or so of that I begged the manager of the cleaning staff to put me on the night shift.
He did and after that I worked from 11 pm till 7 am cleaning the stands and concourse. Shortly before I quit I was promoted and got to clean out (vacuum) the offices and board rooms of the Flames management.
I feel some sort of reward is due after all the hard work I put in.  All that was a LOOONG time ago.
In addition to the above I will be attending an afterwork party at the Hyatt so I can prime up for the game AND I will be provided with a Taxi Chit home!!
I talked to my wife and she's cool. Not looking for a date on the side or anything. I haven't been to a game this year so I thought I'd write. |
Now that's a reason. He's put in his time. I look forward to meeting you and I'm sure we'll have fun!

Oooh, and I think I'll have another contest to go with me to the game on the 29th.... I'm not sure what kind of contest, but I'll keep you all posted! I figure that's far enough in advance that perhaps I'll have more contestants.

Cleaning the bathrooms wasn't all that bad if you kept on top of it but working the night shift was great. Met lots of "excentirc" folks down there. At the time it was a relatively high paying job and I was lucky to get it. The effects of the NEP were in full swing and people just out of High School were happy to have a job at all.
This was the first job I got after being fired from the "Assistant Manager" job I had at the
K-mart shoe department. I was happier cleaning bathrooms at the Dome than I was at that hell hole.
Anyways, thanks for the invite Firefly. I'm looking forward to meeting you as well. PM with where you'd like to meet up and such.
