New trailer released yesterday.

Complete Ghostbusters geek here, and I can't wait. I'm not much of a gamer, but I'll get getting this right away. Loved the fact they got everyone back to do the voices, especially Murray. (even Bryan-Boyle Murray!)
I think Walter "d*ckless" Peck is in the game as well.

Yes, he is. All major characters from the movie with the exception of Sigorney Weaver (replaced by a new love interest) and Rick Moranis (retired) are present in the game.
Not sure what the comment about Bryan Boyle Murray is about. We got Bill Murray to do his dialogue.

Bryan-Doyle Murray played the psychiatrist in Ghostbusters 2.
I just thought it was a neat touch minor guys (even Bryan-Doyle) are in the game. For a Ghostbusters geek like myself, it's neat.

I wouldn't mind seeing Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, and Steve Carrell as Ghostbusters. That right there, gentlemen, is money.

Steve Carrell - Ray
Robert Downey Jr. - Venkman - Damn somebody already said him...
Steven Colbert - Egon
Chris Rock - Winston

The Venkman role would be good for either Vince Vaughn or Paul Rudd IMO.

Apparently in an interview Bill Murray said if they ever do another Ghostbusters, they would need to add a female Ghostbuster in order to make it fly.

Keira Knightley please!
Edit: Although, maybe not. I'm biased, I want to look at her every time I turn on a TV, tbqh.

Hmmm how about this cast:
Steve Carell - Ray
Robert Downey Jr. - Venkman
Ryan Reynolds - Egon
Brandon Jackson - Winston
Mila Kunis - New Member
Ben Stiller - Bad Guy (like Janosz in the 2nd one)
Casting is tough, btw. It's not just about finding someone to fit the role, it's also about finding people that will fit with each other. Especially in a movie like this, with 3 or 4 equal roles. Downy Jr might be a bit overpowering, compared to Carell and Reynolds. Actually, maybe switching Ben Stiller to Venkman and Downy Jr to the bad guy might make more sense.
This is hard work!

Greatest thing about Bob Jr is he can do anything... I believe he would make the movie, challenge other actors to up their game and still be the funniest one there... I'm sick of be Stiller.
He did do a great job with Tropic Thunder. My two favorite characters where Downey and Cruise... Man they were great... (I can't stand Cruise in almost all of his movies) Having someone like Downey in a movie like this would also keep it classy and not so Apatow. As a villain? of course it would work! Heck he could even play the villain as well! lol Having another massive talent would be huge as well. Kevin Spacy or Robin Williams (I love Robin's Dark Comedy if it was to be a darker film.) Heck Bill Murray could be the villain!
Need to leave for work... I'll be back this is a blast!

My guess is the new cast are all new Ghostbusters, with Ramis, Ackroyd, Murray and/or Hudson reprising their roles as the original team with some cameos.
I would opt for a big-name villain (preferably Euro/British... they're the best over-the-top villains), and a well known team... but I would avoid a high powered comedy team that overshadows the original. I'd also consider some serious actors as straight men.
Some team suggestions: Seth Rogen, Chris Tucker, Steve Carrell, Jason Biggs, Jet Li, Ryan Reynolds, Steve Colbert, Vince Vaughn, Rob Corddry, Patrick Warburton, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost
Villains: Alan Rickman, John Malkovich, Robin Williams

Alan Rickman would be awesome.
As for Steven Colbert, is he actually an actor? I know he has that show he does, but I didn't realize he was an film actor as well. If he is, then I'd pick him for Egon and move Ryan Reynolds to Venkman.

What's with the Ryan Reynolds love?
Is Colbert an actor? No not really, but that guy he plays every night on his show really isn't him, so the answer is.. yes?
Most comedic actors turn out to be damn fine dramatic actors.

I still think "Wayne Jarvis" would be good as Egon.

Reynolds is awesome. He reminds me of a young Chevy Chase (when he does goofball roles, like Van Wilder).
I know Colbert has his show, but not every live comedian has the ability to act in a starring role in a major motion picture. He can read cue cards and write his own jokes and improvise on the fly... parody sketches, etc... but can he memorize a script and act like someone other than himself without looking like he's acting like someone other than himself?
His credited resume is all bit roles, voice overs and sketches. Like I said, though, if he can pull it off, he'd be good for the part.

The thing about Colbert is he can play that serious role well. He can joke around and make you believe anything when ever he wants. I think he is a master at it. Being a film actor I do not believe he is but most comedy "actors" start out as stand up comedians and get the offer to act. Second City is a perfect example. (Short has a bachelor in Social Work as an example) Almost all of them did not go to film/"acting" school.
I love Ryan Renolds as Venkman! That would make it a perfect fit for Bob Downey Jr to play a villian! ha ha... Sweetness.

^^Even though I like Ryan Reynolds, I am not too sure he would be that great in the role of Venkman. He's ridiculously hot though, so I wouldn't oppose it if he were cast.
