He is sending me some Toberlone chocolate, among other things. Toberlone because he is from Switzerland. So my question is, what is something Canadian like chocolate or something that will travel will I can send him?

Honestly if you're ALLOWED send liquor...otherwise send him maple syrup (which if you look online, for example Canada Post's website it is ALLOWED to send). That would be your best bet I believe...that or some pictures of the hottest celebs in the world, 'cuz they're Canadian!!

Is the Toblerone there any different than here? I had a friend in Australia so one year I made her a gift box of assorted stuff. She had kids too, but I'll tell you what I put in it. Those little tiny bottles of Canadian liquor, a bunch of different ones. Canadian smokes. Those little maple sugar candies and maple syrup in a plastic bottle. A Canadian Beanie Baby. 2 Canadian Mags, I think Canadian Living and The Beaver (no not a porn rag). Smoked Salmon. But what they liked the most was Wrangler Jeans. They pay over 200 bucks for them there and I got the 40 dollar ones from WalMart. I made the mistake of saying Stuffed Animals on the list and should have just said toys. You just have to word things properly. It took her 7 months to get the package because of that. They quarantined it or something.

Nope, they are all manufactured in Switzerland. Just like Lindt chocolates, also much cheaper here.

When I've been there I always buy the grocery store brands that are on sale to bring home, and everyone here raves how good they are. The "crap" chocolate there is actually awesome and way better than most of what you'll find here.

But if you're buying a chocolate bar with hazelnuts in it here, odds are even if you get a 'fancy' brand it's crappier than the Swiss cheapo brand.
