Quite the shot at Keetly.

Shortly before the comeback began, QC goalie Leland Irving was substituted in for Matt Keetley.

"The other guy wasn't any good," McGill said of the change. "I didn't want to have it 6-0. The overtime goal (scored on Irving by Chicago's Brett Sterling) was a good goal."

The bulk of the rest, he said, were not.

yeah keetley seems to quickly be going into the dog house.

though i am glad to see that the team was able to rally from 3 down in the final minutes to force another overtime. they haven't been able to pull out wins, but at least they are getting standings points and showing a lot of heart while doing so.

unfortunately now that the goal scoring is finally picking up, the goaltending is just average. hopefully we can put it all together and really get going.

I was in Chicago....and the goals were certainly not from lack of defense! Our guys were buzzing! I swear on the third goal, just before he was pulled, Keets had to just stand there and watch it go in. Half the net was open and he didn't move....

The only defense I'll allow for him is that he didn't see many shots and he does play much better when there's a lot of traffic in front of the net. Irving came out first, so we thought he was getting the start....kinda surprised to see Keetley in net. I'm betting that Irving gets the start against Rockford on Friday. At least he certainly deserves it....did an outstanding job for coming in cold!!!

I don't get this... in NHL2009 Keetley is a stud. He's the main reason my QC Flames win any games.

He stared the season that way. When Irving had his first game people down here were calling for Irving to go to the echl. I was one of the few that thought that keets was a step behind and Irving was okay (it was his first pro start).

now Keets has a big problem if Lelande is playing playing well in vegas and keets might just get some ECHL time after this.
