Default Best Pizza

Has anyone here tried Volo's on apx 17 ave and 14 st sw? It is very good, better than my old favorite (Michaels).

On that topic, the best Donair/shawarma in town is easily Sammy's on 17 ave between 11 and 12 st sw. Don't even bother to debate that.

Andaro's Pizza...cougar ridge behind the Esso. I work there so a bit of a plug, but its no lie that the pizza is ######edly good. I recommend the perogie pizza or the southwest steak if you like pizza's that are out of the ordinary. But we do the regulars just as tasty, and add an extra ingredient to the ham and pineapple that makes even me like it, and I dont like ham and pinapple. And for kicks, you may run into Darryl Sutter there, he eats there pretty often

I goto school in Lethbridge and if you've ever been down here you've probably heard of "Two Guys Pizza". If you ever get the chance try the "Buffalo Chicken Rancherio"...i refuse to eat any other pizza anymore.
Best. Pizza. Ever.

Western Pizza has become my new favorite. Alfredo dipping sauce ... while I may meet my ultimate demise faster because of it, I will have a hell of a smile on my face when I do.

Thanks to Tron, I'm a Volos addict. For the record, it's on 26th ave and 20th street. Definitely one of the best pizzas around. Hanni's is also very good and so is Nicks.

Though I moved away 8 years ago now, I've been a Volo's guy since about 1980. To this day every time i go back to cowtown i make a visit there somewhere within the first 24 hours.

Pure awesome in a cardboard box.

Last week I got the vegetarian, and it wasn't anything to write home about, so yesterday I switched back to my usual - the Volos Special. I love it.

Some people are bound to not like Volos, though. The cheese is on top and just a bit crispy. Plus the sauce is....different... I fricken love it though.

My roommates and I swear by this place. It will take long, probably longer than they say, and it's frustrating. Once you take a bite, you'll see it's worth it. It's just a damn good pizza. If you go there, and talk to the owner Luis, you'll hear how much pride he takes in it, and how right everything is done. I do have to try Volos and Nick's though, as I never have.

Shoot, I meant to type in Vollio's and not Vogglios pizza. Everyone give Vogglios a try, it is really awesome.

Since I do live in the cougar ridge area (Montreaux) I will try Andaro's.

I usually do the mexican or the all meat from Volo's, and 9 times out of 10 I'll get a lasagna with my pizza. The lasagna is just about the best thing on this planet.

I think they use cinnamon in their pizza sauce......it's something odd like that. I've been trying to figure it out for a few years now.

When we first moved into that region of the city, we bought Andaros several times and really liked it. (In particular, I the Taco Grande and Tuscan Cheese were really good.) Then we had a couple of orders that were skimpy like Little Caesar's pizza and haven't been back again. (At least a year now.) Is the web site up to date now... Another thing that flapped my chaps, I bought based off an out of date menu on the web site and the bill was like $10 more when I went to pick it up.

Anyway, I'll give Andaros another shot based on your post.

Ya the website is way out of date. The place is a little unorganized and some employees that were pretty terrible have been weeded out. If you need an up to date menu go into the store and they have them there. Its a more expensive than pizza 73 down the road, but a lot tastier. If you call ask if Matt is there and if I'm there say calgarypuck and I may be inclined to give you a discount of sorts

That's the great thing about pizza joints; Everyone has a neighborhood place that they swear by, and it's always "not debatable" and "not even close" lol.

I personally love Papa John's.

If you ask for Matt or Shane well your on the phone and mention CP we'll give you a deal. Specifically try ordering on a Sunday,Monday or Wednesday. As Matt or I work those days and can make sure we are the ones making the pizza exactly the way you like them.
