It's even better knowing that other people pay for it and I get to stare at them for free.

It's true, though, I would much rather know that these 'unemployed people' or 'hippies' ...lol... are doing something creative like playing music in a public park than clogging up downtown streets driving their Hummers and carrying chiwuauas around in their purses because they bored and their sugar daddy of a husband pays for everything.

To me, THAT'S worse than some recreational musician in a park.

LOL. Brown hair? This is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.

As a born and raised Scandinavian, I have an extremely hard time believing this. Especially considering there are loads of Scandinavians with brown hair, myself included. I know its hard to believe, but not all Scandinavians are blonde.

I am Danish by birth, but raised in Canada, and I have brown hair. So yeah, I know it doesn't apply to ALL Scandinavians, but my friend was in Oreibo in Sweden and did get some hassle for her brown hair.

Unemployment in Quebec is sitting at just over 7%; that's about twice what it is in Alberta. However, comparing any province to Alberta is not a fair comparison in my opinion, as we are an exception to the rule when it comes to the Canadian economy.

And unemployment, for the most part, exists because people can't find work. Not because they don't want to work.
Hey that's great that you played the 'don't judge a book by its cover' card, or the its 'prejudiced to assume work ethic based on hobby or personal experience' card. But please lay off a little. I wasn't even the person who coined the term 'bongo player in the park' in a negative light. I used the term facetiously in light of the earlier comments in the thread, acknowledging such a statement was very un-PC and presumptuous.

I've known many brown haired Swedes over the years. Something just doesn't add up here...

That's making some assumptions. It's hard to know without knowing what was said or done. At any rate, I sincerely hope it wasn't because of her race.

And yes, there are some racists idiots in Scandinavia, but I don't find it to be "shockingly" higher than Canada, that's for sure. It's far from cesspool of racism that some in this thread are making it out to be.

Lol..you can dish it out but can't take it, eh cry baby? You make blanket statements about bongo playing hippies yet can't take a similar tongue in cheek comment about being an alberta redneck. Wah...

I burned a cross on the lawn of my neighbour when he played the bongos until 9pm one evening. We had to get up for a full day of baptist bible camp, and I just couldnt sleep with that burning grass smell and hippy drumming..

Not crying. Just saying you're a goofball. Nice work on the Internet trash talking though.

Nice way to put it. They don't matter. They aren't nearly as important as you.

It is kind of funny, all us hard-working types, spending a work day afternoon bashing hippies for being lazy no-goodniks.

We call them leeches. I wonder how many of us hard-workers posted our thoughts and followed this thread while on the company dime.
