don't know if it makes a difference, but i downloaded it from the phone's appstore instead of the computer one.
Hmm... I tried to find it last night from iTunes and couldn't. So, I just checked on my phone, and there it is. I wonder if iTunes holds a cache and doesn't refresh the new list of applications for a few hours.
If you like physics based games that frustrate you to new lows of self esteem and make you spend to much time on the toilet with your phone even after you're done going, check out:
Yeah I was quite impressed with how fast the Google Earth was as well, though I guess it makes sense as I was on wifi and the image sizes are a lot smaller than what'd be downloaded on my PC, but still it's very snappy.

Great to see google still giving the iphone love. I've been waiting for google earth on the iphone since week one so I'm very excited.I notice it is in the computer store now.
Has anybody tried mind Wave yet? It feeds you tones of differing Hz into each ear with the goal of stimulating the brain to aid with falling asleep, waking up, dealing with headaches as well as some other things. The reviews for it were very high so I decided to give it a shot. I'll be sure to post impressions when I use it tonight.

The one thing with Google I want to see though is seamless integration of Google calendar with the Calendar app. Any idea what's holding this back?
Also just got mind wave, sounds interesting...

Another game that some people may find interesting is Falling Sands
some one posted this flash game a while back, so I was surprised to find something similar on the Iphone. Is that game where you have streams of sand/water/oils with various physics gameplay stuff. I'm probably doing a terrible job describing it, so here's a link.
Mind Wave still seems to be generating pretty healthy reviews. I was finally able to try it a little over the noon hour. I was having something of a crap day so I tried out the "relaxation" setting. Knocked me on my ass. Somebody sent me an email about 10 minutes in and the alert sound jarred me so badly I thought I pissed myself.
I'd also like to mention that this afternoon has easily been my most productive of the last two weeks. I might have to try making 15 minute naps during lunch a more common thing.

So... would the 'line in' feature allow me to use the phone as a "tape recorder" ie:recording audio output from a cd player?
Oh, I really, really hope tethering comes with it....
Direct podcast download is huge for me. Podcast are the only reason why I have to Sync everyday.
The rumour for tethering is kinda true. AT&T will allow you to do it for an extra $30 bucks a month for 5 gigs. I have heard nothing about Fido/Rogers though.

Tethering is built into the 6GB Rogers/Fido data plans. It's been like that since the start.
The thing is, Apple didn't allow it as part of the native iPhone OS because AT&T didn't want to allow their customers to tether. Now that AT&T are (rumoured) allowing the customers to tether, Apple is (rumoured) going to include it as part of 2.2.
