embedding videos other than youtube?
Such as flash, etc. Is it possible?

Each custom bbcode tag for each video site has to be setup manually, so if there's a specific site you'd like to see added let me know and I can see if it's possible to do.
For just straight flash movies it's possible but I definitely would not do it, first because it could be too intrusive for some as flash movies can play sound so think of each person having an animated avatar but it being a flash movie that starts playing automatically, complete with sound. Not cool.
Plus there's potential security issues around that.. I trust youtube I guess to not launch attacks against our users but if anyone could embed any flash file they wanted and there was a zero day vulnerability in a version of the flash player, our userbase could be at risk from someone posting a flash file.

Ya good points, youtube is probably the only site with SFW virtually guaranteed. Thanks for the explanation!

Is there a way to embed TSN videos? I haven't looked into their format, linking, etc... I just saw that hella awesome NHL embed and thought, hey what about TSN?

Doesn't look like TSN supplies code to allow embedding of videos, which probably means they don't allow it.
