I am probably going to go all out in my own interesting picks. Might as well. Everyone knows that Bob Dylan, the Clash etc... are great, so I won't be picking them.

How do we link album covers?

Right click on album cover, select copy, then right click and paste in your post.

I think rather than just list my favorite albums, I'm going to dig out some lesser known records that I really like. I have one great daddy-o of a band ready to go on deck.

While listening to my iPod in the office washroom, (it's in my front pocket! gross, i know) I came upon a real gem of a live record that I am so looking forward to posting.

This is a real interesting draft to be sure. I've never heard of half of the selections so far. This has been an education for sure. I actually thought I had fairly diverse music tastes but not compared to most of you it seems! Good stuff. Keep them coming.

Troutman, how many releases do you buy each week?

Just curious.

TV on the Radio are appearing on Leno tonight. I'm watching the Detroit NBC feed so it will be in about 55 minutes from now.

And Afghan Whigs just became my most recent purchase. Great album. I am really looking into a lot of rock and roll that is heavily influenced by soul and the blues

I watched the youtubes troutman posted and added them to my 'explore more' list as well. I had heard the name before, but never the music. Really like both of those songs.

These threads that we'v had (4 or 5 of them now that have been great) have given me a huge amount of new (to me) music to explore and a lot of it I really like.

10 years on with 1965 and I love it more each day. One of the best bottle of wine and hangin' out with your significant other releases ever.

Not that many really - about 40 new cds each year. I listen to a lot of radio - woxy.com, 3WK.com, CJSW, CBC 2 and 3.

I will be getting Afghan Whigs soon - that slipped through my cracks.

Leno repeats on the following weeknight at 8pm on STAR tv (Shaw ch. 54). So Monday night will be when you can catch it.

They did "Dancing Choose" btw. I'm still kicking myself for not getting tix when they came to town.

With our first selection, we are proud to take, in the category of Album - 2000-2002, my favorite album my arguably the greatest working band of the last 15 years... Because, really, who doesn't love concept albums about the Robot Apocalypse? Radiohead's Kid A

Difficult to overemphasis how truly ahead of the curve this album was. If there was any doubt before Kid A about Radiohead's ability to continue to re-invent themselvs, remain relevant and push forward in directions nobody could predict, they were quashed with the release of this masterpiece. Remains very much in the conversation when considering greatest albums of this 00s.

We're not scaremongering,
This is really happening.
