Question Subscription Music Services (Rhapsody, etc.)?

OK, so listening to the music on my iPod is getting a little stale. I also am finding when I go into music stores, that there are some bands that I am curious about, but not curious enough to buy their CD on a whim.

So, I am wondering if anyone has tried subscription music services like Rhapsody or Napster. Any suggestions? The all-you-can-listen to buffet sounds appealing to me.

I realize I would have to use an mp3 player for these services, as they aren't iPod compatible.

I don't believe Rhapsody is available in Canada.

You can use you iPod, just as long as you use a service that offers DRM-free music.
eMusic started a Canadian subscription service at the start of teh year, maybe check them out.

Personally I go though a lot of music and there are songs that I listen to once or twice that I would likely never listen to again, so I have a hard time spending money on those songs. That being said if there was an option to spend 15 or so dollars a month on a service in which I could transfer my songs to an ipod then I would do so in a flash.

eMusic is a solid service. I've used them in the past and I'm considering signing up again. You get about 30 downloads a month for about $12, and the good thing is, these are DRM free mp3's..meaning you can use them on any device, store them anywhere.

Their selection is quite good too, lots of reputable artists, a great way to discover music. Don't expect much mainstream stuff though.

The only drawback I found with emusic was that sometimes I was getting too much music/month...I didn't have enough time to digest and listen to all the material I was downloading.
