Default saving a video from youtube

i need to show a video posted on youtube, but where i am going has no internet access. is there anyway around this?

If you are using firefox you can get an add-on called Video Downloadhelper. It just puts a little icon next to the address bar and anytime there's a video on the page it allows you to save it and even save in a desired format. Highly recommended.

i tried the vixy converter, but when i open it in wmp, it doesn't show the video, but it plays.

there's a few different options to save (mov, avi, etc). Try something else. I've also tried the thing Russic suggested. It works good to get the flv file. Then you just have to find a converter for that.

I believe now it will do the converting for you. Let me check ...

edit: still in beta, not working that great.
