I didn't know he had Cancer

That's too bad. I still remember reading Jurassic Park in grade 6 and pounding through it over a couple of days. That book got me reading a lot more.

Sad news. I really enjoyed many of his books. He was one of the authors I'd always look for when I go book shopping.

Jurassic Park and ER were two huge contributions he gave to the entertainment industry. I enjoyed his books.

Very sad news this morning. One of my all-time favourite authors, loved Jurassic Park when I was 12. The literary world lost an amazing talent. You will be missed.

Really good author, I enjoyed his books and he will be missed.

Movies about his books on the other hand....

Was a cool movie, but nowhere near as good as the book.

Disclosure with Michael Douglas and Demi Moore was pretty good.

Just read the article and this jumped out at me:

Quote:
But his stories, which torqued new scientific ideas into disaster scenarios, have been made into enormously successful movies, including Congo, Sphere, Timeline and The 13th Warrior.
Enormously successful movies and they picked those 2? Bad call CBC, bad call....

Also:

his most successful franchise was Jurassic Park, which will soon have a fourth installment.
Noooooooooo.............

Wow, that came outta the blue for me. I'm actually pretty sad. I loved his books and remember reading Jurassic park in my bed scared late at night when I was young. One of the first authors books I followed.
