Clearly you don't. It has nothing to do with it serving as a message to the rest of the team. The rest of the team has nothing to do with it.

I just couldn't in any way be associated with something so stupid. As a role model on the team you have to show where you draw the line, if this is cool with everyone high school kids will start doing stuff like this.

You think he's got balls, which is a sad thing for an adult to think. I think he's being dumb and is showing lack of judgment and perspective. If you can't get past him being cool, or tough, or a mentor to the rest of his team for showing what he'd sacrifice for 3 hours when he's 20, you will not get it.
