My cat does the same thing (except she doesn't try to sleep on my back). At about 3am she gets tired of my tossing and turning and heads out on her nightly rounds (prowls the house to ensure her domain is okay).

Never been a huge fan of cats but after this string of cute cat threads I'm actually reconsidering my position on them altogether. Cats are pretty cool little characters.

I just watched it again. In the wee early morning hours, the cat was just trying to wiggle in close. Then, closer to dawn hours, the cat disappears for a bit and then comes back and starts walking all over the guy trying to sleep.

I just remember that this is what my cat would do IF I FORGOT TO FILL THE FOOD DISH BEFORE GOING TO BED. The little guy was probably hungry and was trying to wake the "food provider" up.

My cat likes to sleep on my stomach, only problem is he weighs about 16-18lbs

I have 50 lb. (puppy) bulldog, that is as active as this cat, in and out of bed all night.

In the morning he will lay his head on my face until it bothers me enough to get up.

I have cropped out my face, so as not to scare CP posters....
