Maybe it's just me, but I think Dion needs to concentrate on attacking Layton and Duceppe more than Harper. That is where he needs to get the votes from...their supporters. Not conservatives.

Yeah, he sorta did. Fairly big mistake that Layton was all over like stink on shiz. What he said was that canadians are more concerned about their investments. It was a rebuttal to someone's suggestion that Canadians are freaking out about their mortgages and jobs (a comparison to the US crisis).

Man...he is creepy looking. How frustrating must it be to have 4 people constantly attacking you and not mentioning any part of their own platform?
He's so freaking calm

Is it really an effective strategy to attack Harper over and over? I am a conservative but it seems really pathetic.

Amazing. The leader of a french seperatist party speaks better english than the leader of a national party. Dion is a disaster.

I don't really care one way or the other, but holy crap is Dion painful. I got here a little late, but has May said anything yet??
Layton looks fine. Harper looks fine. Duceppe is irrelevant.

OOH!!!!! Major blow to the face of Dion dished out by Layton...
"Mr Dion, you want to do this AND that... It doesn't add up! And at the same time you never voted against Harpers plan. If you disagree with it so much, why did you let his government stand for the last year?!?!"

People are so focused on attacking each other that they have to be reminded to answer the question
Elizabeth May looks lost.

Oddly enough, I find myself liking all five of these leaders.
I said during the last election, I think Duceppe's a really fantastic leader, I just wish he'd bonk his head and wake up a strong federalist.
If Layton is taking the "standing up for the little guy" position, he should be angrier.
I don't know if I like this format. The moderator is interjecting too much for me.

I was thinking the same thing. At the beginning, I was getting the two of them mixed up.

As a leader of an official party participating in this election she had to be given a seat. The fact that she's out of sorts will not make a difference to sway people for against the green party. If people are planning to vote green they're going to do so regardless of how badly their leader does in this debate.

I'm having flashbacks of Italy with Harper's hand talking. I think he's trying to put Jedi spells on whoever dares to ask him a question.
Poor Liberals. They havent had a good leader since Chretien (shudder).

Layton needs to do more of that, he's going to get a lot more support from disillusioned Liberal voters than winning over conservative voters.
