In what is bound to be good news for GM's who wish to demote Mike Ricci, Godzilla Tactics is embarking on a real life move to Tokyo in the coming weeks, and has the following to look forward to:
- abetter salary than what I am getting in my current arts-related position.
- finding a place to live in the Blade Runner megaopolis
- moving 700 km to said place to set up and live
- farewell parties (a rather big deal here in these parts, I've been signed up to 4 within 24 hours of making my intentions clear)
- 10 days of vacation to eat up, where I will be away from a computer.
- learning a somewhat brand new city
- learning a somewhat brand new job, though in a field much more familiar than my current one
- getting hooked up to broadband in new place (hook-ups in Tokyo can take up to two-three weeks, from what I hear, right during UFA season)
- a 48 minute commute, compared to my current 15 minute commute.
- setting up my daughter in a bilingual nursery school
- adjusting to my wife reentering the workforce and subsequent impact on childcare, schedule, etc.
This probably comes as good news for some of you, until you run into the fresh keener that will take my spot. With too many uncertainties running through my life I would be doing all of you a disservice if I continued. And good luck to the remaining agents, who are among the best posters here on the site.
If any of you are ever in Tokyo, drop in for some face to face negotiations over a beer or two at the Maple Leaf pub in Shibuya.
In closing I'd like to thank you for the 10 million dollars you've contributed to my coffers. Rest assured this meager amount has no bearing on my retirement from the game.
Cheers,
Jeff - GTI Founder
PS - Any of you who have negotiated contracts for next season, I will make sure that the new person processes them as we negotiated, so you don't have to go through all of that again.

Yeah, best of luck to you. Hopefully the move to Tokyo, and changes in lifestyle go over smoothly for you.

As that Mike Ricci waiving GM... HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
As a human being, good luck man. It's always interesting to hear of someone going to an unknown land, unknown to me atleast other than what was in "Lost In Translation". Good luck and all the best!

Good luck to you and your family. I'd send you an email to wish the best, but it'd probably just get lost in your trash file :P . So, I will say that it was good negotiating with you once we did hook up.
Cheers!
