Players Needed for NCHL team Div E
Hey Eveyone figured with the Calpuck team coming together I'd toss up my team as needing a few players currently looking for 3 players to start the Winter season, forward or D-man range of skill isn't important as we have a few guys who haven't played in a few years. If your interest and have the available funds of $725 (Jersey's and Socks included) please drop me a PM or post here and I can get back to you.

North or South?
Average age of team members?
Average skill? I have never played in the NCHL so trying to gauge what "Div E" would be similar to.
Number of games in season?
Also, what is the attitude of the team like? I know that seems like a silly question but is pretty important in my opinion. Are you there to win at all costs, just have as much fun as possible, or a combination of both?
My friend and I are interested. Both in our early 20's, low end junior C skill level, comfortable on forward or defence, attitude is a combination of both. He would be a full time player, I would be there for all games other than when the Flames are playing at home.
Thanks!

I believe we'll be in the South division. Average Skill is wide ranging, we have a few player who would fit quite well into a B or C division team as well as a few guys who haven't played hockey in a few years, our goalie's (We have 2 Splitting games) 1 played up until he was 14 and wants to play some more, 2nd has played maybe 20 games over the last 3 years and didn't have any goaltending experience prior to that. I can't recall off the top of my head but I believe it's 32 games plus playoffs, team atittude is going to be a fun one as the team is being built on a group that can have fun together as well as play some good hockey, winning is always the best but not the top priority, I'm currently playing on a team that's 0-14-1 and if I wasn't a part of this team I'd go back to that team for another season because it was a great group of people. As a side not Vernie and me played as goalie's against each other this season and I got beat 6-2.
missed average age, would probably be 25ish....oldest player I think is 29 or 30 youngest I believe is 20.....United if your interest drop me a PM with your phone number in it and I'll give you a call and we can talk same goes for anyone else let me know, only looking for 3 players but we can always use subs as well as if your looking for a team and we have some players drop out.
Thanks

we played a team last night in E-south and they have some ringer on the team, who I can only assume is some washed up semi-pro player, who has over 50 pts in just 13 games, including over 40 goals.
It's a complete farce that a league allows a guy of that caliber to play against people who aren't very good. Or why the guy would want to be such a showboat.
But other than that, I'm on 3 teams next year, so no can do. If you need a sub (Goalie or Player), shoot me a pm.

yeah this is my first year in organized hockey and I played in the E2 division and there were a few teams that were beating us like 12-0 and scoring the 13th and celebrating like they'd won the stanley cup. One of the teams was 0-4 in the E division got pushed down and haven't lost a game since, going 12-0 but what're ya gonna do, I"ll definately let ya know about subing Jayems

Formula for putting together a div E team in the NCHL....
1. Put together team of players that belong in div E/D
2. Add ringer who used to play in the WHL and can skate through your whole team and score at will without breaking a sweat and then totally ruins what would have been a close fun game.
We're the ONLY friggen team in the NCHL that doesn't do this, and we lose every game because of it. It's so frustrating and so stupid. That's why we're going to the HNA, where they have a seeding round, and not only that, they tell div E/D teams "sure put your ex AAA hero player on your roster, but we'll seed your team according to his skill", which is awesome.

To be honest with you, even being on the worst team in the lowest division I didn't mind a 15 man team with 1 guy who was really good because it's just too hard to win the game on your own, it's the one team we played where it was a 15 man team and they had 4 guys who could barely skate and the other 11 completly destroyed us for 17 goals.

Yeah, I find the NCHL to be quite the mixed bag and has totally unpredictable rosters. A team you play one game and beat 10-0 will come out next time with 3 ringers, and light you up for 15 goals.
I guess to give you an idea where the competition level is at: I play in the C division, and we have about 4 guys who are below average (just started playing 2 years ago and another dude who's over 50) 10 guys who played till about midget, and 2 guys who played junior. We're .500 right now, but we can play with pretty much anyone in our division.

Ah, ok. There's a few of us CP'ers on the Gorillas in C-north. I think in another season I played against the Saltwater Cowboys, name sounds really familiar.

...and once his team is filled up, I have another team that needs about 3 or 4 more players, and it will also be the equivelant of a div D/E team. I was going to post earlier, but figured I'd let the OP's team fill up before hijaking the thread.

I can play as a sub possibly for this, 2 teams would be too much for the old pocket book.
But if you ever need anyone let me know

well gee, if thats the case, Im pretty certain the team formerly known as Ikea (we are going to be changing names, not sure to what yet, I guess it depends on if our sponsorship does come through) is looking to fill a couple of spots still as well
We are going to be playing NCHL E North, I know theres a few people that had PM'd me and expressed interest, I forwarded them all to team GM "slopestyelrails", who tells me that he sent out PM's to everyone that had expressed interest previously
but still, if anyone was interested in NCHL E north and hasnt heard from slopestylerails already, or if anyone else is interested they can let me know, and Ill make sure the team GM contacts them
