Jays did it to Boston a couple times, now the Yanks.
Too bad it looks like it will be a couple months late.

Really if the Jays had even a .500 record against Tampa this year they would be in the Wild Card picture. They also had a bad record against the AL West which outside of Anaheim is a pretty medicore Division, in particular Seattle and Texas laid the boots to them. Who knows...I've doubted them all year and when they start to make me think otherwise they get swept the next series. So right now I say they have no hope until they pass the Yankees and get to 4 games of the Red Sox. Plus they still have to worry about Chicago/Minnesota who are waging a good battle.

Cheer against both sox teams because Minnesota has a pathetically easy schedule the rest of the way.

Looking at the last 10 for the teams in the Wildcard hunt.
ChiSox 8-2
Twins 8-2
Bosox 6-4
Yankees 4-6
Jay 7-3
So even though the Jays are on fire, in the last 10 they have made up ONE game on Boston and have LOST one game to the Twins and Chisox. Only the Yankees have faltered.

I would personally like to thank you for telling all of us disillusioned Blow Jays fans just how truly dire the situation is. Will JPs BS about this team still having a chance ever end?

Well, 29 of the remaining 35 games are against teams ahead of them in the standings.
Yankees - 6
BoSox - 10
Rays - 6
Twins - 3
ChiSox - 4
So the Jays have a good chance to really scare the bejezus out of a few teams if they continue to play solid ball down the stretch.

If they were to continue the .700 that they did over the last 10, they'd finish with 91 wins.
Improbable even then that they would make the playoffs, but it would be very interesting at least

If they can put together a Colorado Rockies like run...sure they might be able to scare a few teams. Can they...I say no, not against the teams they'll have to play against. But who knows they have 2 guys in that rotation who between the two of them will get a chance to pitch 45% of their remaining games who are both pitching really well right now. If Marcum can get hot again maybe they make it interesting.

Marcum has a 2.00 ERA in his last 3 starts. If Litsch and Purcey can throw some quality starts when they take the hill, then we stand a good chance of making it close

11-0 over Boston
Wells with 2 HR, a magical catch in center field, and a 4-for-5 day.

Marcum got sent down to AAA.
Although he had a couple of good starts lately, his ERA since returning from injury is 6.19. It'll probably be a case like Litsch where he goes down for 2-3 starts to work on his mechanics and will be back up soon.

There's rumblings its an attitude issue.
Not good news for our would-be 2nd man next year.

Still this statement by Cito Gaston is far too vague to not think that something is fishy with Marcum being sent down:
There's something going on that needs to be corrected. That's what we felt like. So let him go pitch a couple games down there, and hopefully he'll come back when we get back home. If he works it out, then we'll get him back and put him back in the rotation.

Doc finally gets a win against the Rays.
And what has gotten into Overbay lately? After thinking he was an easily replaceable cog for most of the season, he has really come alive lately.

More on Marcum, specifics on a his troubles might be caused by a different arm slot.

What do the x and y axis represent in that graph?

This graph is pitch location, whereas the above graph is of the pitcher's release point, but the concepts are the same.
