Aren't the Chinese supposed to be cloud seeding for the Olympics so it wouldn't rain? There was a thread on CP like two years ago about it.

The cloud seeding was to cause rain that would in turn get rid of the smog.

Damn, they got another inning in, and now it's another rain delay. How many innings do you need in softball for it to be an official game?

I'd like to mention how helpful it is that every now and then, as I have the rain-delay feed running in the background, a hand appears to wipe the camera clean so that I have as clear a view as possible of the empty, tarp-covered field. If fireplace arm guy is single, I think he should seek out chinese rain delay hand girl.

FYI: Australia has three medals (2 silver, 1 bronze) in non-swimming events. So, we're not that far behind if you take swimming out of the equation!

I wonder if this is from the same genii who introduced foxes to Australia to eat the introduced rabbits.

So what you're saying is that they need to induce tornadoes to get rid of the rain?

As far as I can tell tomorrow's women's soccer game vs. the US is on at the same time as our men's baseball team plays South Korea... I take it the CBC will be flipping between both?

For all those up and about right now, you can catch a great game on CBC as Canada takes on Cuba in baseball.
7-5 for Cuba right now in what has been a very back-and-forth game.

Canada had the bases loaded, one out in the top of the 8th but only got 1 run out of it.
Looks they can run with anyone...its going to come down to winning the 1/4final and semi final game though.

Both Williams sisters lost today as well.
Men's matches still going well into the night because of the rain earlier.
Nadal may not get on court until past 1am!
