Yeah, The Dark Crystal, Pan's Labyrinth, and Labyrinth (with Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie) are all terrifying, disturbing movies.

I saw it in theatres and at one point yelled out when Nicolas Cage was going to kiss the girl because it was so cheesy and totally wrong. But I still rented it once, bought it, and have seen it more times than I should have.

And I just scrolled up to see that someone said The Notebook. I started watching that movie because the chick was hot. Who was it? Scarlett Johanson? Can't remember, but the chick got me watching it and the next thing I knew, I watched the whole thing. I gotta say, it's a pretty good movie. Total chick flick, but the kind of chick flick I can handle. Not a ######ed one like Legally Blonde.

Has anyone mentioned Jerry Maguire yet?

Forgot about Blue Crush. What a great movie! I put that in about 3 - 5 times a year. Usually around May/June when I'm getting excited about summer.

Just watched a guilty pleasure flick: Fear with Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg. Mask is another, the one with Cher in it.

AWESOME!!! Whenever Deep Blue Sea is on TV, I make sure to wait out for that scene.

This thread got me talking about this at work, and I cannot believe I forgot one of the guiltiest pleasures of all time;
Over the Top
To paraphrase Norm Macdonald (I believe) "It combines all the drama of child custody, semi trucks, and arm wrestling". Nothing like "turning the switch" by flipping your hat at any point when something important needs to be done.
Also, Gladiator. Cuba Gooding Jr's miraculous recovery from being vegetabalized and the whole "punching the top of the head" things are awesome. Terrible acting all around.

Toy Soldiers, the movie starring a young Sean Astin. A prep school for rich boys is taken hostage by an elite squad of commandos headed by the son of a drug czar who is in prison. He threatens to kill one student each day until his father is released. The students quickly realize they must foil their plans to save their own lives. It's just... great.

I was permanently traumatized by the horking in the sandwich. I vowed never to employ anyone I'm holding captive to bring me food. Loved that movie... And while we're on the topic of prep school movies, there was that one with Brendan Fraser and Matt Damon. Good movie (can't remember the name).

Yup. Good movie. Maybe not so much a Guilty Pleasure though. Props to the mention of Gladiators and definitely for Over the Top.

This is my favorite movie, nothing guilty pleasure about it. Willem Dafoe is one of my favorite actors.
