Some of my faves:

The end of the Iron Giant (most under-rated animated movie of all time)

Someone else posted a scene from Heat. I prefer the conversation b/t Pacino and Deniro in the coffee shop

From the Princess Bride

Other that I can find on Youtube.

From "Grand Canyon" - the scene near the beginning when Danny Glover rescues Kevin Klein and gives the "it's not supposed to be this way" monologue. Fantastic.

From "Backbeat" the conversation between John Lennon and Astrid in the lighthouse

From "The Last of the Mohicans" - frick the final 15 minutes period.

and another under-rated movie. Spike Lee's 25th Hour - the monologue from Brian Cox at the very end is just great writing and perfectly executed by Cox. I sometimes plug the DVD in just to watch that one monologue.

"Yippee Kai-eh mother lover" (god bless tbs) Die Hard

"IT'S THE PIGEON F-ER" Ghost Dog Way of The Samurai

The scene from Pooty Tang where Leon (from Curb your enthusiasm) leaves the farm is the funniest scene I have ever seen.

The scene from Falling Down where the Chinese guy tries to charge too much for a coke.

Heat bank robbery +1

The Poacher scene from "Withnail and I"

Happy Gilmour pretending he is peeing with stuff always made me laugh pretty hard too.

Field of dreams catch with Dad is solid.

The scene where Cheech and Chong crash the car in the original, and then go to jail. "Eat this man - OK - whoah, its a good thing you didn't eat that man!"

I always thought the falling into the toilet scene in Trainspotting was creatively done (plus I read the Macaroni and Beef buffet story today).

The car chase in French connection is the best, Ronin a close second, and Goldeneye 3rd.

The best fist fight is John Stone vs Biker Guy (for anyone who has seen this sweet gem)

NSFW

Christopher Walken vs Dennis Hopper in True Romance and their discussion on Sicillians.

Also, notice James Gandolfini in the background before he was Tony Soprano.

i cringe when I watch this scene, but I love the way it's filmed. And Favreau plays it to awkward perfection.

Also from True Romance, Gary Oldman as a pimp, just massive......very NSFW....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w94dZ...eature=related

True Romance has so many solid scenes in it and it very underrated as a movie overall. Great cast, including Sam Jackson, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken and written by Tarantino.....all adds up to my number 5 fav movie of all time.

Showing my age I guess, but On Golden Pond is one of my favourite movies of all time. Just incredible story and amazing acting. Henry Fonda's last movie (he saved the best for last IMO and won an Oscar for his performance):

Another great scene. Funny as hell:

(I have no idea how to embed these like everyone else seems to be able to)

For those of you who are fans of the show "The Shield"

I'm a hue fan when they have the end of an episode end with a music montage. It works because they choose fitting songs and they only do it 1-2 times per season.

this one is my fav, the finale to season 2 with a great song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRMxylNaRk4

Or, the one from the very first episode

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgHd5vKFXAo

The one in Season 5 with the Smashing Pumpkins song is also very good.

Watching these scenes gives me goosebumps and pumped for Season 7 in 6 weeks!!!

My favorite line of all time:

The Count of Monte Cristo

The main character breaks out of jail after 17 years, swims to a beach and meets a ship of pirates. The captain of the pirate ship pits the escapee against a member of his crew in a knife fight.

Captain: And just so you know, he's the best knife fighter I've ever seen.
Convict: You need to get out more.

My favorite scene would be the Children of Men clip from OP.

Hoo-aah!

And speaking of Pacino... I don't know if this is my favorite movie line ever, but I do know it is the most ridiculous line ever uttered in film, in any context, ever.

From Amadeus, one of the most articulate and beautiful descriptions of any music I've ever heard:

But the real money shot comes during the film's climax, as Salieri transcribes Mozart's dictation of the Requiem - you'll never see actors, camera and music interact this seamlessly again:

And my all-time favorite movie... Kubrick's most underrated and best, Barry Lyndon. Probably the most technically brilliant movie ever shot. Pretty much every moment from it is one of my favorite movie moments, but I've always loved the way it opens.
