Thumbs up Im going to MDA jail ..... please help a pucker out =)

hey guys ,

I was at work today minding my own buisness counting down the minutes until" my Friday" was over. I got a phone call and answered it . Apparently i was turned in by someone in the witness protection program for having a big heart. I now have to serve jail time at a charity event for the MDA.... I am all for charities and i have to raise 500 bucks to get out of lock up . Its either that or spend a couple hours behind bars.... I know you guys can spare a couple bucks. I will link you to the the mda site they made for me to get donations ... You can go there and click and if you want to donate over a secure server. I have to get $500 dollars but im an overachiever and wanna raise a record of $1000 bucks so if you guys could donate i would greatly appreciate it . the link is
https://www.joinmda.org/bransonmo2008/nickerjones

REMEMBER ITS TAX DEDUCTIBLE AS WELL!!!

Thanks in advance guys . Mods if this is against the rules i am sorry , it shouldnt be since it is a charity and helping people, but if it is you can close it !!!!!

if you decide to donate the page looks like this:
Donation Amount*
Please select or enter the amount you wish to donate
$85 Fund One Minute of Research

$100 Pay for a Support Group Session

$800 Send one child to MDA Summer Camp

$2,000 Assist with Wheelchair or Leg Braces Purchase

Im not asking anyone to donate that much , unless you want to , just click the bottom one and donate a few bucks! ( it doesnt show up here but there is a box below the 2,000 one where you can enter any amount)

We have such a liberal justice system, you can actually get people to buy your way out of jail time. Disgraceful!

Frankly I think having a BIG heart should not only carry the jail time, but you should be hung by your thumbs and whipped every hour!

You're a disgrace to society and deserve to rot in "jail"

seriously though, credit card bill came in a little higher than I expected, and I'm off to Newfie-Land at the end of the month. Might I suggest kick someone's a** your first hour, or become someone's bi!ch.

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but when I open this thread it asks me to accept a certificate... Same thing happens when I click on the provided link...
I have been declining to accept the certificate.

I'm not but it is probably a problem with temp's certificates in his browser. It is a class 3 Verisign certificate which is one of the best (well known and secure) certificates out there.

So if you haven't reached your goal and you are still in jail, you don't have to go to work tomorrow... or the next day, or the next...

Seriously though, this would be US $ correct? And likely a charitable donation that Canadians couldn't claim on their tax returns?

i guess it would be in us dollars your correct, i just saw on the mda.org website that donations are tax deductible. The jailing doesnt occur until aug 19th so i have to raise 500 bucks to so i dont have to stay in the whole time. I wanted to raise 1000 bucks to set a record for the branson lock up =).......... and on the work side of it ... i work purely on comission so any missed work means lost income .... but i can give up a day to help out. My aunt back in oklahoma is a school teacher who is charge of the special needs kids. SO i have seen what MDS can do , but any how i dont know if it would even benefit anyone to claim it as tax benefit seeing as how im only asking for 2 or 3 bucks or so ....

ummm if you really wanna donate, i dont need the money til august 19th.... ill be in calgary from the 19-29 i can bring some cash slips and you can write me a check or give me cashor money order and i can give your a receipt , you can pm me your address and ill mail one to you and you can mail a check to me, or i looked through this packet i got and i have fax sheets. I can fax you one and it gives you a choice to let MDA bill you directly so im guessing they would send you a bill .... either way works LMK

It said thank you for your donation, but my credit card is usually not accepted on the internet, so we'll see what happens. Although, typically it tells you right away if it's not accepted, so I'm assuming it went through. I could only afford $20 right now though, so have fun rotting in prison beatch!
