Default Crash Closes TransCanada Highway 2km past Castle Junction

If you're headed into the mountains for the weekend, prepare for a major delay.
What appears to be a serious crash has closed the TransCanada Highway, 2 kilometres west of Castle Junction in Banff National Park.
The Alberta Motor Association predicts the road could be open by 6pm, although their confidence level is low.
Traffic is being diverted to the Bow Valley Parkway, or Highway 1A.
Banff EMS, Lake Louise RCMP and fire crews, as well as park wardens are on the scene investigating.

Highway alert: Friday July 11 at 12:00am: Hwy 1 between Castle Mountain Junction and Lake Louise has been closed due to a motor vehicle collision until further notice. Estimated time of reopening with a low confidence level is 6:00pm. Light traffic is being diverted onto Hwy 1A, heavy traffic has been forced to stop until the hwy reopens.

Pretty much the same as what you said, I just like a good ol' copy and paste right from the horses mouth.
