Call me old-fashioned, but I like my KD in the closet and nowhere near Tony Bennett.

Thank you! This American couldn't figure out what the heck KD is.

Mac n Cheese, I eat it plain. Its my favorite thing to have after coming down after a day of snowboarding in the mountains. Its warm and its quick and easy to make.

Is it actually the real stuff?

I've tried powdered grocery store bulk bin cheese before and it ruins the KD.

Keeping in mind I don't eat it on/in anything else, but I put a big scoop of Cheez Whiz into my KD, and it's surprisingly awesome.
A little creamier and zestier.
Add a little salt and pepper and you're golden.

It's beside the parmesan cheese at the grocery store, in a blue container. It is slightly less creamy and slightly more cheddary than the stuff that comes with the KD.

I don't. But if I am so lazy that I would rather not eat than cook and the wife throws some on for her, I will occasionally eat the stuff. I grate a whole bunch of cheddar and then load it with that, a ton of ketchup and turn it black with fresh pepper. Once I'm done, I head to the bathroom because I know what comes next.... let's just say I get some reading done.

I put a heaping table spoon of cheez whiz in the mixture, melts right in and tastes awesome.

I usually grill a couple of hotdogs on the BBQ with BBQ sauce and then cut them up and throw them in, throw some Parm on top and its good to go.

GREAT THREAD

Oh how I love KD when I was a kid I would eat it everyday after school, not so much anymore but from time to time I indulge

My KD needs to be dry NO MILK, the noodles very firm, and nothing needs to be added, no ketchup, no pepper, no tuna, just good old KD

My cooking regiment goes something like this

Boil water
Add KD noodles
Cook for exactly 2:45 at a slightly less than max heat
Strain when cooked
Add half a tablespoon of margarine stir
Add sauce stir
Serve!

I love KD, and I always will.
My recipe is as follows:
- KD
- 10-15 squirts of Frank's Red Hot or Louisiana Hot sauce
- Grated marble/cheddar cheese
- Crumbled Feta

I'm also into KD with a scoop of Cheese Whiz, used to replace the margarine, makes it really creamy. My dad also loves to put salsa in his KD. Now I want some, darn you CP!

Definitely make it with butter, not margarine (yuck).

And I like it with Frank's Red Hot sauce and also lots of fresh ground pepper.

I also like the noodles a little firmer, if you cook it too long, it's a big bowl of mush.
