i like how these days you can see a ban coming with the reputation system. first you'll see 1 blue square, then 2, then after the 3rd one comes along you know they're running on borrowed time. has anyone actually gotten a 4th blue square? i've never seen it

I've been a good boy so far...no bannings or warnings I don't think. Generally if I get pissed off, I just leave the thread haha.
Now, I know he wasn't banned, but speaking of people we miss...how about Cowperson? What's he been so busy doing? I haven't seen him around in a really long time.

I am proud to admit that I called the Pres "Mr. Slick". Man that was a funny thread. I had no idea my one little poke at him would cause so much hilarity.

I've had one blue square at four different times. Does that count?
Also had three red squares at various times.
I really need to bribe a reviewer to put me back into the red...

A banned list isn't complete without MainFlame. I actually got a red for making fun of him.
SarichFan was Jordon? When did that revelation happen? And why was he banned in the first place? I seemed to have missed his drama.
Sundeep_Malhi has had 100 usernames her I swear. Kid is weird.

See, I didn't notice anything bad about Mainflame. He was just 'the glass is half empty' kind of guy and was funny the way he'd piss off people. I hope he didn't get banned for his style, that would suck.

Yah Cerebral was great - too bad he left. Although to be fair, it must grind ya down to continually pump the Oilers up on this board only to be smacked back down, and I can see why he would get tired of it after a while. I've never understood why people find it necessary to actually hate the Oilers and their fans, I can understand rivalry but loathing should be reserved for everyone's true enemy - the Leafs.

Secret:
I was formally known as StarWalker (2003)
One thing I can say about CP is that it has really helped me along with my writing skills over the years.
I guess if I get my 3rd blue square I'll leave with some dignity and go join another forum.

Fortunately, I've only made one similar mistake in my time here. I have been banned at a few other places in my time, however. Two of my favorites were getting kicked off of skyscraperpage after an Eastern Canadian administrator decided that pointing out that Western Alienation actually did exist interfered with his utopian view of Canada under a Liberal government. I also got IP banned from CNNSI's forums a few years ago after taking part in a rebellion against some incredibly restrictive posting rules. In short, saying "F this" was a bannable offence given what "F" stood for. The group I posted with all got blocked, then moved to the completely unused forum of the Columbus Post Dispatch of all places. Total anarchy. I was once offered a job as their webmaster when I sent an email pointing out some problems that were happening on those forums.
I've also been an admin/mod at a few places... which will drop some jaws, I'm sure.
I actually miss Cerebral. He was one of the few Oiler/Canuck fans I actually liked.
|
Wow - I remember you from the old CNNSI boards - that was a long time ago. Unlike you though, I've kept my on line name the same since those days at CNNSI.

Haha seriously?
Sundeep Malhi, Sundeep Malhi, Sundeep Malhi. West Edmonton Mall. Fcuk. Sundeep Malhi.
I guess this is why I never use my real name. In fact, I don't know if anyone outside 2-3 people actually know my first name. (And no, thats not an invitation to reveal it.)

God... that was so long ago I don't even remember anymore. In fairness, I occassoinally made it a point to be an ass over there, but what I got banned for was nothing compared to some of the things they could have banned me for. It was just comical why I got banned.
Shin pad - Yup, I remember you from there too. I forget, did the hockey side of CNNSI go straight to hockeyboards/fanhome, or was there another forum in between that? I can't even remember what they did to cause the exodus on the hockey side anymore.

It does get tiring. I was pretty active as an Oiler pumper on here back in the day, but just got tired of it, changed my name and stuck to the OT Forum for the most part.
