Oilers GM stepping down
With a heavy heart I have decided to step down as GM of the Oilers and give Rob a chance to get back into the league before UFA season begins.
I just have not been online a whole lot lately and feel like I don't have the time to devote like I used to. It's my own decision; things have been quite busy at work and personally, and generally I just don't spend much time on the computer outside of work these days.
I'll let Rob know my ideas for the team but what he chooses to do will be his decision now. If he's smart he'll hold on to the likes of Iggy, Zetts, and Brodeur though!
Who knows, maybe I'll reenter the league (again) one day but for now I feel like I'm being unfair to you guys.
Good luck to all you guys and here's hoping the Oilers can continue to be a dominant team next season.

Wow, sorry to hear your leaving. It was kinda nice having another GM on this side of the world! lol You did a good job while at the helm of the Oilers and hopefully you can get back into it sometime. Good luck with everything outside of the CPHL!

Well with living in Australia, I can see why it's tough to be online very much. Sounds like real life is far too exciting and interestint these days to be on a computer and thats a good thing. All the best.

Good luck Scott. While I appreciate that you mentioned giving me a chance to run the Oilers, I have not been contacted by HO yet. I'd love the oppertunity, even in stupid Edmonton, but there's no official word yet.
Good luck with everything tho man. I know how hard the balance is between real life and this game. More so over the last month than ever. Sometimes the best idea is to take a step back from the game, cause you can't stop the real life side often.

HA HA HA... I just don't want to jinx it... If it's me, I want to do you proud Icky, so that when you come back, I can beat you with your old roster...
I don't know if/when HO will make the announcement, but please refrain from talking trade with me yet. I'm still not 100% sure what's happening until HO confirms. I have gotten good indications, but nothing that I'm willing to comment on until HO comments themselves.
