Weird internet problem
I hope this question doesn't make me seem like a complete moron... but here goes.
I recently had new cable internet service installed at my home, and had to by a new Airport extreme to use as a router. Everything works great--except that I can't access any sites that have .edu as a suffix. As you can imagine, that makes my life a little difficult as it prevents me from doing research, checking email, etc. etc.
When it first happened I thought "their servers must be down." When I realized it was ALL OF THEM--I thought--"my browser must be blocking them for some reason." But--it happens in every browser.
Now for the weird part. If I log off my airport's own network and access the internet using my neighbour's wireless network (I think it's my neighbour's network--it's just one that the computer can find nearby) suddenly everything works fine, though obviously really slow, since I'm accessing a router in another apartment somewhere.
Which leads me to believe this is somehow a problem with my hardware configuration. But is that even possible? If anybody has any advice, I'd love to hear it.
