Default Explosion at Canada Olympic Park

My sister's boyfriend works at COP and said that moments after he left work today there was an explosion. Said something about Ammonia involved because of the ice making.

Anyone else hear about this? I'm in Tuscany but can't see COP from my house. Is it on the news yet?

EDIT: Just talked to him and he said that one of his coworkers was hurt but not bad. Sounds like it was a fairly small workplace accident. I did hear sirens though about half an hour ago.

Nothing on citybeat/660 news/the herald. I'm working tonight though and I'll see what I can pull up.

I dunno. The guy I talked to mentioned plumes of smoke specifically. Like I mentioned in the OP he had just left work so the details are a little sketchy.

I live in Tuscany and can see most of COP from my upstairs window. I just drove past there about an hour ago on my way home and there were about 8 or 9 police cars, a firetruck and 2 ambulances there on the bottom of COP. It indeed was an explosion but it didn't seem like anyone was hurt.
