I've done it too for a guy that took forever to find the necessary change.

Just told him to take it....I'd pay for it.

No. We talked and exchanged phone numbers. She called and left a message, but I never called her back. I thought my girlfriend might get mad.

I was at the Seattle Airport once, waiting for a connection to Calgary....I had taken a 6 am flight from San Jose, and forgotten to get money from the bank. I didn't care too much as I was going to my parents house for the weekend and I could mooch off them if I really needed too.

I was sooo hungry, so I went to the ATM Machine but it wouldnt work. Not sure...but i kept getting an error message. I placed my order at Taco Bell and tried to pay when the cashier said their debit card machine thing wasn't working. I guess I looked really sad because this really nice lady handed me a 10 dollar bill. I thanked her and tried to give her the change back, but she told me to keep it. I was sooooo hungry and since Im hypoglycemic, if I don't eat, I get really dizzy. So that woman did her good deed and had no idea how much it really helped.

On my way back home, I felt like helping someone...so I went to the same Taco Bell and bought lunch for an old man.

Wait. I thought you said you had "other more sinister motives"? So why would your GF suddenly become a concern after you got a step closer to being sinister?

Dude.

Did you chicken out?

On the way home from the Children's Festival the wife wanted a Timmy's. Thanks in large part to this thread, the guy behind me got a couple of free coffee's.

Of course, the wife looked at me like I was from mars and said "that's not like you... being nice..."

Oh well. And then the little pull off tab on my large double-double didn't pull off right, breaking part way.

So much for karma....
