Amen. I don't hate being single, but I don't hate that aspect of a relationship.

I tried that. I'd prefer a life where I don't have to worry about catching diseases and/or wondering who my babys daddys are. I know, that makes me picky, but alas.

Okay I get it. You don't just want lots of sex, you want lots of sex with one particular person who you can trust not to be a filthy, disease-ridden scuzzbag.

When I was one of these young single folks I thought....why don't married people shag every day. Now that I'm married I think...why are these people so obsessed with sex?

To have two kids though and do it every day, you'd need to put some planning into it, and be pretty committed, and get creative. You can't schedule when you're kids are sick when you're sick, when you're tired, if someone close to you passes away etc...If it was that easy, they would have been able to duplicate it the next year. After about 150 straight days...they probably started doing it out of obligation so as not to say well we made it 300 days but than something happened.

Still I think that people in married life maybe get a bit too caught up in the routine at times and couples stop talking, and get caught up trying to make it work. In the end I still believe people have to be willing to put themself first and their partner second to make any marriage happy. Too many people forget about themselves after kids come along and want to put them first. I'm not about neglecting your kids or anything that extreme, but I think that if you can't treat yourself good, than you won't be able to do the same thing for your kids either because you're so used to not being happy, but thinking you are that you'll think your kids are happy when they aren't.

All your problems can be solved in one word:

Mormons.

1. They are predisposed to polygamy
2. Low incidence of social diseases
3. You don't even have to go out looking for them - THEY DELIVER!!!!!!

Just get yourself a string of 'em and marry 'em all.

Poor ol' Jeremiah is not burnin' with desire? No problemo, Enos is feelin' frisky! Enos has a problem with his penis? Let him sulk, Hamish is rarin' to do his marital duty!

Next time they show up at your door, just look them in the eye, and tell 'em your soul is all right, but maybe they could help you out with the body...

She's already called shotgun on being the one who gets to be fixed.
Getting fixed for a woman doesn't mean menstruation stops. She's having the tubes that deliver egg to the uterus clamped. No delivery system - no babies. She would need to have a hysterectomy - the complete removal of her uterus to stop menstruation. And this will only bring on menopause earlier because her hormone levels will drop. Any decent doctor won't perform this unless theres a very good reason - like cancer.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you believe that a menopausal woman is less likely to suffer migraines, then you are mistaken. She might get rid of the cramps but she'll have hot flashes instead that will bring her to her knees. Not only that, but the drop in hormones may reduce her libido, so you'd be less likely to get some on a daily basis.

Edit: As for the topic of this thread, I can totally see Mrs. Prefect doing that type of thing. Other than the book part that is.

Well put! You have to have them to realize that you couldn't live without them! Nothing against not having kids but for me kids are the greatest gift that I have ever been given!

If any of you read my second post..I said my husband works 16 hours a day and that is why I am the main provider for my household as far as cleaning cooking etc. Wow, All I said in the beginning was that after everything a Mom does in a day, Sex is not always at the top of her list by the time she finally gets everything done!! My husband works his ass off, and so do I! I just happen to work more around the house than he does, just a fact! I don't know what anyone else's life is like and I don't really care! I was just adding to this simple thread about why maybe some people don't want to get it on every single night of the week!! You people need to relax. Have a kid, and a smoke

You said...."A mans day: get up go to work sit down eat watch tv go to bed".

Sounded like you were complaining to me.

Maybe if you didn't generalize men by saying they get up go to work sit down eat watch tv go to bed, you wouldn't have gotten the respones from men that you did.

For suggesting we need to relax, you sure get defensive at peoples opinions and all
