Default Vatican says Aliens may be free of original sin!

Quote:
The official Vatican newspaper headlines his article 'Aliens Are My Brother'.

Just as there are multiple forms of life on earth, so there could exist intelligent beings in outer space created by God. And some aliens could even be free from original sin, he speculates.
Link to Bible Thumpers Studying Little Green Men

I love it. I just love it. The same organization that says we should all kneel and bow our heads for the alleged torture and murder of a man 2000 years ago, wants to "turn the page" on it's own well documented persecution of Galileo.

I also like how it is trying to legitimize itself by mixing its own myth history with pseudo science. "Are aliens free from original sin?" is the same level of argument as "Would the USS Enterprise be able to destroy the Death Star?"

So glad they are having a "conference" about Darwin's birthday. Only a couple centuries late there boys!

It's always nice to see the Vatican make a fool of itself.

The part I really like about this particular bit of lunacy is that they have always preached that humans are born with original sin, but now they're suggesting aliens aren't. In other words, some slimy bog monster with antennae growing out of its forehead is purer and more divine than my kids were when they were newborns? Just because that bunch of pedophiles was born with sin in their souls is no reason to paint the entire human race with the same tainted brush.

Why are they even pondering the question of aliens having original sin or not when they still haven't conclusively determined how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

^^^ Maybe they're hoping their purer alien friends can help them with that mystery.

Coincides nicely with a "major announcement" NASA has scheduled today.

Supposedly something NASA has been searching for, for the last 50 years they've finally found with the Chandra Xray observatory.

I kind of hope it's just NASA making fun of the Vatican.

Warning... may be offensive....

They probably pointed the observatory at the Vatican and looked in the Pope's poopatorium to confirm that the pope has to poop just like everyone else...

NASA was needed to confirm this? Doesn't the pope have a practologist someone could just bribe?

Alf is evil....

As everyone knows Alf eats cats...

And as everyone also knows, the Tick famously declared...

Quote:
The Forehead: If you’re so evil, eat this kitten.
The Tick: Eating kittens is just plain… plain wrong! And no one should do it, ever!
The Tick, “Armless but Not Harmless” (1994)
As we all know, the Tick is infallible, ergo, Alf was evil.

As for Superman, Kal-El is a difficult case... Depending on which canon you are referring to, he may have inherited some of the sins of his father in that his father was unable to save Kryptonian civilization and dealt with Zod too lightly on more than one occasion. As such, Kal-El may have inherited Jor-El's sin of being partially responsible for the destruction of Krypton. It may not seem fair, but hey, neither does the concept of original sin as described ion the Bible.

The Tick: You know, Arthur, when Evil is afoot and you don't have any arms, you gotta use your head. And when Evil is ahead, and you're behind, you've gotta do the legwork! But, when you can't get a leg up, you gotta be hip! You gotta keep your chin up and kick some...

UK releases UFO files:

http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/World/20...556476-ap.html

While there are some unexplained cases in the papers, there is no reported instance in which the Ministry of Defence found any evidence of alien activity or alien spacecraft, said Clarke, who nonetheless expects conspiracy theories about a UFO cover-up by the British defence establishment to persist.

"The Ministry of Defence doesn't have any evidence that our defences were breached by alien craft," Clarke said. "They never found one, no bits of one. That's all we can say."

Yeah but my friend knows this guy, who knew 'of' this guy, who sat next to a guy who told him about his brother that saw a UFO.

Aliens are real!

Wait...didn't the Vatican have an official position for the longest time that believing in aliens was wrong?

Yeah, but if the aliens don't have original sin, that means that there's most likely just two of them (one male and one female), and they're still in their extra-terrestrial eden and they haven't even figured out they're naked yet. Just lying around eating non-apple fruits and getting mink massages. The chances of us actually discovering them, given that they wouldn't have any real population or technology is really remote.

This news of aliens being without original sin really conflicts with Scientology and it's movie theatre sin filled aliens.

I wonder if Lucifer knows about these sinless aliens yet? Maybe someone should send him memo and he can drag them down into the muck with us earthlings.
