If they remake Clash of the Titans I really, really hope that they spend the money to do the special effects right. The original rocked the special effects world for the quality of the effects and I hope they don\t screw it up.

I agree, this pic looks awesome. And I'm not the big 'blockbuster' type viewer. But from the previews it looked clever and fun, Downey the perfect fit.

Up to 94% now.
Iron Man kicks off summer on a blazing high note and practically dares the competition to measure up. Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
My six year old will want to see this Friday night. Me too, actually.

Anyone going tonight? I've balked at it, but I'm thinking it might be worth it.
Damn you good TV night...although I could just set the PVR.

I think I'm going to try for the 8:00 PM showing at Eau Claire. My buddy went to the preview and said it was the best comics-based adaptation he's ever seen.

Up to 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, unreal! I've seriously never seen a movie rated so high before. I can't believe that in one day, I've gone from not wanting to see it at all(I actually scoffed at the preview in theatres), to absolutely dying to see it.

I just got back from the 8pm showing.
Great popcorn flick. Not as good as Batman Begins, but in the conversation with spiderman 2. Robert Downey is awesome and Gwenyth Paltrow (who i thought quit acting) was excellent and really hot in the "sexy secretary" kind of way.
When I first saw the preview I actually thought this was going to be super lame but I was extremely incorrect.

ok question for anyone that's been...can I take a 6 year old to this one? my son loves superheroes, but hasn't sat through many full length live action films yet. I'm not asking if its completely sanitized, that's not my concern, just whether it would capture a kids' interest?

Well it's rated PG but I think the content is a little more adult. Not that there's swearing, just it's not so black/white.
That being said, the action scenes are cool enough that he'll be entertained. Take him to a matinee though.

I just saw the RT rating at 96%, and was supposed to go with my friends to the midnight showing tonight, but I declined because I thought it would suck!
I can't believe that it's rated 96%, that's just insane.

I'm seeing this this afternoon, can't efin wait.
I'm more surprised that people here are going for the sole reason that it has gotten good reviews. Who cares what other people say, see the movie, see if you like it or not. There's certain movies that I think look stupid and end up thinkin are great. There's plenty of movies that I think look awesome but turn out to be really lame. But I never go to flicks because a movie has gotten a review, good or bad. I read them, but that doesn't make my decision whether to see it or not.
