Anyone in the market for an engagement ring and wedding band?
My cousin is trying to pay off the ring he gave his now ex-fiancee, and I thought maybe a CP'er would be in the market for a good deal on a ring. He spent over $4,200 originally.
Here is the link to eBay
Thanks!

he seems bitter.
that's why i'd never spend more than $250 on a ring.
good luck to him.

His ex-fiancee literally ruined his life, so it's kind of understandable. I agree with spending the money on the ring though.

Overnight shipping with $4,500 of insurance isn't the cheapest thing.

so sad, i was engaged a time before to a girl in the us air force. She got shipped to England , where she decided to break it off the day she got there. She also said she wouldnt be refunding me the 1000 bucks i gave her to help her move nor giving me back the tiffany's ring i bought her, as she was going to take it to tiffanys there and get the cash reimbursement..... I was appalled , good thing my uncle is a Captain in the army. He made a friendly call to her supervisor ... needless to say i got the ring back in 4 days and she got to clean latrines for at least a month for being a beotch.... i never got the cash because there was no proof that i gave it to her but the ring was close to 4 grand so i was happy........
i hope his ring sells

Holy crap, you aren't kidding. Usually people don't pour their heart out on a ebay posting. Poor guy.
Not in the market for an engagement ring but hope it finds a good home.

Usually, this type of venting is saved for Dr. Laura Sleschinger (sp?). It's a bit odd to see it on eBay..

And where would you find a ring for $250? Seriously. I can't imagine what a $250 engagement ring would look like. Even a nice men's band is more than that. By the way, the ring in the picture is gorgeous. Poor guy sounds like he got hosed really bad.

I was engaged once...I still have the ring sitting in a box in my storage room. I got a real screw job on that one too.
I could never take the ring back...because what do you say to the guy at the counter..."I got dumped...can I get my money back so I can go drink with the cash". I'd rather just take the hit on the cash and have a ring collecting dust than go through that. *sigh*

Well if I had a lot of money I'd buy the ring just cause.
Too bad.

I'm sure Duffman compares it to something coming out of a cracker jacks box, because really, that's the only comparable.

oh sorry, engagement ring, I didn't see that. I would spend about $0 on engagement, and 2fiddy on a wedding ring, is what I meant.
Seriously though 1k, would be my limit for a wedding ring. I think my wifes was about $500, but that was using her Mothers band and putting in new rocks, or vice versa. I can't remember.
