My pics in bold below:
Eastern Conference
1: Boston Celtics in 4
8: Atlanta Hawks
2: Detroit Pistons in 5
7: Philadelphia 76ers
3: Orlando Magic in 6
6: Toronto Raptors
4: Cleveland Cavaliers in 7
5: Washington Wizards
Basically, IMO, in the Eastern Conference, the top 4 teams are a bit too hard to knock off through an upset from the lower ranked teams. I will say though, if any team can possibly pull it off, Washington is probably that team. Philly will probably surprise Detroit by keeping their games close, but Detroit has those finishers when the clock is winding down.
Toronto is just frustrating to watch, and anyone who predicts the Raps to pull off an upset this year is out to lunch. Not exactly a playoff team with only 1 real scoring option. Defensively and offensively, they're going to have a hard time with Turkloglu and I think he'll be the game breaker in this series. Another prediction: this will be the series Ford is run out of town with his selfish one-on-one play and his turnovers.
Western Conference
1: Los Angeles Lakers in 6
8: Denver Nuggets
2: New Orleans Hornets
7: Dallas Mavericks in 7
3: San Antonio Spurs in 7
6: Phoenix Suns
4: Utah Jazz
5: Houston Rockets in 6
Lakers and Nuggets is going to be a crazy offensive showcase, and Denver will probably outscore LA a couple games. I think New Orleans is one of the most overrated teams with Paul and Stojakovic being the stars while David West has overachieved this year. While Dallas has struggled, Kidd will really turn it up and at the end of the day, it'll be a pointguard matchup. Spurs and Suns will be really nice to watch - offense vs. defense. San Antonio always seems to know how to play against run-and-gun teams though without slowing the game down too much, and SA will squeek out the win here (simply because I don't think Phoenix has that one scorer that can dominate anymore even though they play that game). Jazz/Rockets I'll just take the streakier team in Houston, but I'm hoping Utah wins out as I hate both Alston/McGrady.

Amare has been insane since Shaq arrived. I think they match up better now against the Spurs. I still think the Spurs take this series, in 7, but it's going to be war. Those teams always battle.

Suns show why they will never win a championship.
Choke it away 2 different times.
Just BRUTAL.
I hate the Spurs.

Holy cow that was a crazy finish! LOL. Nash drains the clutch three to tie and Ginobili drives up the court to win it right after.

As much complaining as there is about NHL reffing, just watching one game in the NBA reminds me that at least it isn't close to as brutal as NBA officiating.
Why the Spurs are constantly handed games by the refs is beyond me.
It was a great game but should never have gone to overtime if not for some really bad calls/no-calls by the refs in that game.
Every time I try to get into the NBA they do a great job of making have no desire to continue to watch.

Yeah that finish was BRUTAL. I still can't figure out that 6th foul on Stoudamaire in OT. If you're going to give someone their final foul to send them to the showers, in OT, you better make sure it's something obvious.
Also... don't like the fact that Shaq can't even defend at the end because he has 5 fouls and no one knows for sure what the ref's going to call. You have Ginobli flopping around out there like a fish out of water, Shaq could breathe on him and get fouled out. Times like that, a ref needs to stand up and either let the players involved know that flops will be ignored or else just start calling the flopper. Instead, the Suns are forced to play with 4 men in OT because Shaq can't even go for a block out of fear of getting his 6th.

I agree, the amount of favorable calls/non-calls that go the Spurs' way is disgusting.
Christ, I could defend in the NBA if I was allowed to get away with the crap that Bowen gets away with ALL THE TIME.
Spurs shouldn't have even won the Championship last year, if the NBA wasn't full of corrupt refs.

I share this hatred. I know that Tim Duncan is supposed to be one of the "good guys" in the league, but I can't stand his face.
Other than cheering for the Raps (I guess), I'll be hoping that my boys 'Melo and AI can pull off the upset over the Lakers.

Raps getting SPANKED.
Orlando scores 43 in the FIRST QUARTER.
They have hit 9 3-pointers so far.

Screw Duncan, all he does is cry and whine, he can freaking elbow a guy in the face, and he will turn to the ref with that ######ed surprised look of his and say "WHAT?!?!?!?!?!! I didn't do anything!!!!!"
God I hate them, too bad the Suns won't beat them, hard to beat a team AND the refs in a basketball game. And if the Suns even get remotely close to looking like they will win the series, I am sure the NBA will step in once again to figure out a way to suspend O'Neal, Nash, and Stoudemire.

Do the Raptors realize that defence is actually required, not just a mild suggestion, good lord they are a joke at their end of the floor. I believe Orlando shot over 80% in that qtr, unreal.

LOL, I love watching how as soon as Orl throws a pick, the player has a free pass to the lane for a lay-up/dunk - no help at all, and the Raps players aren't fighting through the screen hard enough.
This Efence from the Raptors is embarrassing to watch. Just brutal.

The Raps are pathetic on D today.
So far, the worst playoff performance by any NBA team that I have ever witnessed.

LMAO Raptors look about as good as my men's team... we're good, for a non-university men's team in Calgary... Raptors can't hit easy lay-ups, can't defend.... seriously who lets Turkgolu (sp?) blow by TWO separate defenders, dunk and 1???
Wow they are bad, this could be a record-setting blowout for Orl.

Frankly speaking, other than Bosh, the Raps just aren't that good.
Bargnani has to be the worst #1 pick in recent history for the Raptors. Not good, Colangelo.
Also, Sam Mitchell winning coach of the year was probably the worst thing that could have happened for the Raptors. They played over their heads last seasin and you could tell in the playoffs that coaching was a problem. Continued into this year, and same problems.

Hoffa was the worst, period.
Only one worse than that was Bryant Reeves by Vancouver... as soon as they drafted that no-talent red-neck inbred hick, I said "they don't deserve a franchise for making such a stupid move"
Looks like I was right....
