One of the 3 year olds at the school showed up wearing a flames shirt.. what a bandwagon fan.

On the one hand I see the frustration. Why should you be forced to chat with people I'm assuming you don't like, simply because they have a reason to talk to you now.

On the other hand, what difference does it make? My mother doesn't watch too many movies or listen to much new music but she always watches the Oscars and Grammies. Is she a bandwagon or fairweather fan simply for getting into a pretty big media and cultural event?

Bandwagon fans who come off as know-it-alls or simply use Flames success to sexually harass young women are pretty lame... obviously. But by and large, it's pretty cool in my opinion to have other people get into what you like, even if their knowledge or commitment to that thing is significantly less.

I work with a bunch of Oilers fans, they sure didn't say anything to me when the Flames won, but as soon as I came in today it was all "hey man, those flames really suck".

My Response- "Hey, I heard Hemsky shot 4 over par yesterday...now go F*** yourself". They're actually pretty decent people, but man that pisses me off.

I hate it.

And everything they say is wrong, and I hate correcting them and sounding like a condescending jerk..but its so hard sometimes.

Ha no kidding.

Embrace this as an opportunity to sway the non-believers to our superior lifestyle of hockey-immersion.
