Decrying hatred using hatred is absurd. Being loud and condescending doesn't make you're point, just your hypocrisy.

Wait--so right wingers look in the mirror with their FEET?
I'm REALLY confused--but also can't help feeling that it somehow explains everything.

That's absolutely huge. And not at all what I was expecting.
If Obama ties or wins in PA, that's the ball game.

Of course the Democrats should win but if they don't I am not sure it will be because Americans are "too stupid", as much as it makes you feel like a big person to think so.

The US is on the wrong track. I can't even begin where to start backing that statement up. They NEED a new approach, something refreshing and captivating. Enter Barrack Obama...Quite possibly the best born natural leader to run for President since JFK.
|
I hear this BS about natural born leader or great leader being associated with JFK all the time and am curious how it came about?
Is it because he was killed so people ignore the many, many faults he had as a leader, president and person?
Is that the was only in office for a shorter period of times so his inadequacies were too few compared to those Presidents that lasted full terms?
Or is it, and this is personally what I feel, that he was a young, good looking, personable guy that looks good in the old photos and videos and kind of had a Hollywood-esque appeal about him that we ignore his policies, record etc. and just focus on the "coolness" of him cheating on his wife with a movie star while putting the whole world in more danger of a nuclear attack and alienating much of the world?

Ha ha.
I can understand why people are "conservative" or "right wing", but what I can't understand is how anyone can still support Bush and his policies. They are still out there. Millions of them still refuse to believe they've been duped.
How can they look in the mirror? Seeing the word "rekcus" on your forehead every time they look would be, you'd think, a real turnoff.

You know, just because someone is 'right-wing'....doesn't mean they're a crazy neo-con.
But alas, that is the label they get. And vice versa with being 'left-wing.'
I support less-government, balanced budget, less taxes, a more isolated stance on foreign policy, an open social policy(gay marriage for example)....and the freedom to live your life in the way YOU want, without interference from the government or anyone else.
What does that make me? A crazy neo-con? Or a crazy moonbat liberal?
The political spectrum has been SO screwed up, that suddenly it becomes 'wrong' to be right-wing, or 'wrong' to be left-wing.
Everytime someone says Bush did something good, or Bush did something bad, they're a 'neo-con'....or a 'moonbat liberal'...respectively.

I don't want to derail the thread with a discussion of my personal political views, but obviously I agree with most of the platform and policies that right wing parties tend to lean towards.

How is that different from anyone who continues to support the Liberal party of Canada or the Clintons? or really anyone in politics who has been around for more than ten minutes?
I still support Bush and his policies but never once thought the best reason for going into Iraq was because of WMD's or for Al-Qaeda. IF that makes me a sucker in your eyes that is fine by me, you have shown plenty of times that your opinion isn't worth much. I will still always be glad that Bush defeated Gore and despite his whining we don't have that sniveling jackass in the oval office, especially after 9/11 happened.

Ooh harsh.
Comparing the Liberal party or Bill Clinton to the current administration doesn't make a lot of sense. You may not like 'em, you may think they are bad news and have bad policies, but they never did anything as disastrous as what George has managed to do.
No Republican or "conservative" ever did either.

I think a reasonable argument can be made that Clintons policys were the ones that precipitated the 9/11 events which was the trigger for pretty much everything that's happened since then.

Sure, he did make massive cuts to the military and intelligence community, which indirectly led to 9/11 happening, but I still believe the mistake the US made by not rebuilding Afghanistan after the USSR pulled out, was more a direct cause of 9/11 than anything Clinton did.
He is still 'partly' at fault though. And a lot of people tend to ignore that.
EDIT: You can't really solely blame Clinton though, IIRC, Bush 1 made even more disastrous cuts.

then read the post above yours.
The planning and initial stages for the attacks took place before Bush 2 was ever elected.

Blasphemy! American policies didn't have anything to do with 9/11! They hate us for our freedoms!
I guess Clinton can take some of the blame, though certainly not all of it, as you seem to suggest. All them folks and policies that were there before him have something to do with it too, don't they?
But just for argument's sake, let's say "it's Clinton's fault". Who gets the blame for all the mistakes/everything that has happened since?

I stand to look at myself in the mirror with my feet.
Simplicity and logic are lost on the left, who are too complex and know too much to be weighed down by simpletons such as me.

You've already quoted that comment, lol. But I have to weigh in now...
Ugh. Nevermind. Your comment about simplicity is hilarious.
